I would suggest, getting a wrap instead. A lil pricey, but feasible in color of your choice. Furthermore, when u get bored of it... Just remove it...

It can be done from the factory. I am working with a dealership in California. It will take some time to get the order, but please believe I will post pics when it happens.

Please do tell, what is the name of the dealer? Maybe sharing would help other members here, thanks.

It might make more sense and be cheaper to do a wrap or have a local shop repaint after delivery.

Get the Z-71 off road package, that would look cool on a C7 and I don't think it's been done yet (on a C7). You will have a very special car.

Please forgive me if I don't hold my breath waiting for the pics.

One of the largest volume C7 dealers in the country has already said it can't be done. I'll take his word over yours or your dealer's.

And, since nobody has asked, why on earth would you want a new C7 with an old, outdated and ugly pickup paint color?

I have thought about going the other direction though. What I mean is that my C7 is a 2014 in Lime Rock Green. If I were to decide to get a new truck, both the Silverado and Colorado (I'd go with the Colorado) come in Rain Forrest Green which looks very close to my LRG. Then I'd just have to talk my wife into a Cruze instead of her usual Subaru cause the Cruze comes in the Rain Forrest Green too. Then we could have all matching vehicals

Not sure if the OP is serious, but if he is I'd pick the third color above. I think a greyish/blue color would look good on the C7... But then I hate baby blue (1) and teal (2)...

Blue granite metallic looks good on my Silverado but I don't think I'd want it on a C7 even if it was possible.

I like the exhaust on the truck.

I spoke with the GM again about this matter and they said that it can be done through the factory. There are a few caveats that apply to the order, but I think if we can pull this off it might be a breakthrough for the C7 community. You guys should think out of the box a little more. One-off factory colors are readily available through Porsche, MBZ, BMW and of course the Italian brands; this request isn't too far fetched.

Your dealership General Manager is full of it. He's feeding you a load of crap. Best he can do is order a C7 and have his body shop paint it. Pictures of the final product won't convince me. Perhaps a picture of the RPO sticker would, or better yet do NCM delivery and let us see it on the Web cam. Since it is delivered directly to the NCM, no opportunity for the dealer to repaint it.

It probably can be done "through the factory" if you pay them to have a local body shop repaint it after its built. And what, exactly, are the "few caveats" that apply?

One more time: Why would you want to have a brand new C7 painted an older truck color?
