Default First 11 hours with the C7

I've had my car now for almost 3 weeks and only have 11 hours on it - nice bit of info on the display.

All I can say is: why did I wait so long to get one?

I never would have done this if I still lived up near Danbury CT.
Around Savannah we can drive all year round.
My mix of freeway, local two lane and city driving has been a pleasure.

Did my first wave to a C7 ZO6 that pulled up behind me.
Joined the local Corvette club.

No glitches yet - but the "check engine" light came on for 1 minute last Saturday. Not since. Called the service dept. at dealer and we think it was a hiccup.
Soon to get Xpel front end treatment and Z51 sway bars.

I want to thank my dad for being a Chevy employee for 50 years and helping me get employee pricing as a legacy. I didn't have a Chevy from 1975 until now. Sorry Pop. But, thanks again.

Welcome to the group. The C7 is a great car. Enjoy! I miss my time in Savannah. Was stationed at HAAF back in the 80's. Great town.

Two things that I would recommend, first...post pics, or it hasn't happened. Second...drive it more!
Welcome to the C7 group and congratulations.

Very cool.
Never pass the opportunity, to give your day a hug, and say thanks.
What I wouldn't give, for just one more chance to give my Dad a hug.

Went to WestConn in Danbury.....small world! My best move was leaving the NE and moving to NC. Love the South. I am currently exploring front end protection for my new GS. Let the group know what you decide on your front end protection and how it works for you. I am interested to hear!

Regards,

VetteFred

Not so dead if the OP - me - gets notified.

I now have a GS as well and put an Expel on the front end and half of the hood. It is not going to stop all the stone chips but at about 21 months it has held up well. I think most would tell you to use some type of paint protection film and its all about the installer's expertise.

Paint correction and ceramic coating helps as well.

Welcome to the south.

It took you long enough to post that pic...

Nice ride - are all your vents painted body color?

I don't know why I never posted pics of the base Stingray...before I sold it to a British naval officer stationed a Marine Corps Air Station at Parris Island ( working on the F35) I had added the Z51 sway bars and ZO6 grill/vents. here's one:

Yup...I liked body colored vents when I bought my base Stingray in December of '15 and ordered the same when I got my GS in June '17. Tail light surrounds, hood vent, etc. I even had the spats painted.
