OK, you stirred my memory on this. I believe I read on here that there was an issue with the way the M7 worked with the auto recall.

Let me cogitate on that and check my notes.

The M7s were a monster on this issue. Maybe you need an update to the software???

Awesome. Any help would be appreciated as I've been banging my head against the wall. My stingray was manual too and I had no issues, but I bought it new and the dealership walked me through it, and that was 2 years ago, so maybe there's a step I missed. I checked the manual though, and it seems like it should just work with no additional steps for recognizing fobs or anything like that

Yeah, i found that post, and that video separately. That's not my issue. Also, according to the manual, that's not even the way to program it, though I did try it. Made no difference. Auto Memory Recall is not working for me at all. I've gotta take it to the dealership tomorrow anyway to do the android auto upgrade, so I'll ask then

Might be you are beating your head against the steering wheel over a software upgrade that you need.

If anyone is interested, I got it all squared away. You can see how it panned out here. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...t-working.html

Does anyone have an alternative method to program a new key fob? Appreciate your help.
My problem is never getting the READY FOR REMOTE #3 or 4 message after turning the key 5 times. DIC maintains corvette logo or is blank if timed out Anyone else have that problem or solution? I am following the instructions.

Are you following my instructions? Then look for the red text that says "IMPORTANT, remove all FOBs from around the car! Go through steps 1,2, and then 8.

ALSO!!!!!!! DO NOT HAVE A FOB NEAR the car. The red text is important. If the car sniffs the presence of a FOB it tries to add fob #3. You have a FOB near the car.

The car will reset the old transmitter as #1 and the new one as #2. The long way is the only way to get the correct 1 & 2 for the FOBS.

Just FYI, the "ready for remote #" message only stays on the display for a few seconds, so if you turn the key in the trunk and then walk around to the door to look, you might miss it. If you have the trunk open and are looking through as you're turning the key and nothing happens, I got nothing.

I can't get mine into programming mode either did anybody figure this out yet?

I read somewhere on the internet that they key doesn't go far enough to engage the switch to trigger the mode so removing the interior panel in the back and moving the key switch by had was the fix? No clue how this will work on the C7 but that was what the issue with someone with a C6 had.

Default Set up Fob #3

i followed the instructions and the new fob works but now the car won’t start by pushing the on/off start button. Only starts if you remote start it. Anyone see this before? I have a 2014 Stingray.

Sometimes mine did that. I replaced the battery and it hasn't happened since. I'd give that a shot if you have 2032 batteries lying around. If that doesn't work (or you don't have those lying around), then I'd reprogram it and try that. BTW if you don't have those batteries, I'd strongly recommend ordering some from Amazon (or wherever). Those and 2025s are used way more than you'd think.

The reprogramming of both RKEs is still an option.
Did you ever solve the problem you were having with programming #3 remote? It does the same thing when I try to program a third remote...It never shows “READY FOR REMOTE #4 after I press the ENGINE START/STOP button.

Same thing is happening for me. I get the ready for #3, put the new fob in the slot and press the start stop button. Then nothing happens.
