New 2015 or 2016 C7???
I am in the market for a new C7 Corvette. I would sincerely appreciate your thoughts at what savings does it make sense to purchase the 2015 versus the 2016. I realize in April the details of the changes for 2017 should be announced. I like the latest and best technology, features and performance, but I do not want to get paralized by waiting for the next model year. I plan to buy a Z51 2LT.
I have located Corvettes for both years with the options I want. The 2015 is about $5,000 less.
I am not buying it for an investment nor do I have unlimited funds, I just want to make the smartest decision and appreciate your knowledge.

Go for the 2016.
The changes from the 2014 to 2015 model year weren't as significant as the 2015 to 2016 model year changes/updates.
Soft-close automatic rear hatch
Flat-bottom steering wheel
Front facing curb cameras
CarPlay
... and the coolest looking start/stop engine button!
I went for a brand new 2016 C7 Z51 3LT... should be taking delivery in a couple weeks!

To me it would depend on whether those new features on the '16 is worth the extra money to you. Only you can decide that.

Both cars having the same type of mileage, color, options that you want, you can take the 2015 and use the $5000 and put it towards splitter, side skirts, tinting, ext. warranty, etc. or you can take the 2016 that will have the extra options that has already been mentioned.
Either way you have a win/win situation ahead of you. Good luck and enjoy whichever way you decide.

If it's a coupe, keep in mind that the '16 removable top has the upgraded latch assy's and guide pins already installed from the factory. The '15 would require the fix be done after the fact at the dealership level. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-bulletin.html

Exactly! Not to mention the discount on the Ron fellows driving school! 2016 doesn't come with that. It was a no brainer for me as I had a 2016 picked out first, then found the 2015 and it was $6k cheaper.

Unless I'm misunderstanding you I think you are mistaken. The 2016 models do come with the subsidized Ron Fellows driving school.

I doubt that very many Corvette owners drive their Corvette more than 12,000 miles annually.

2015 has better warranty,
2016 changes ...
D Steering wheel, you can if you wish to change it for 250-300$
Front cameras, are you that bad of a driver that you need assistance parking ??
Start button ?? BFD,
I'd rather have the 5-7k in savings in my pocket

They're still offering 12% off MSRP for a 2016 Z51 2LT.
Depending on the MSRP you're looking at 8-9K discount and they ship all over the country and super easy to deal with.
MacMulkin and Kerbeck both offering 12 % off
