Default Oregon Coast Corvette Meet 'n Greet!

Hi Everyone,

I'm putting together a "meet 'n greet" for the Oregon central coast area in the next month. If you know other drivers on the OR coast area who would be interested, please forward this to them as well...this will be a great opportunity to take a drive in some of the prettiest countryside in the US, meet new friends, and maybe reunite with some old ones!

The tentative plan will involve food, a scenic drive, and telling lots of lies. Wives and/or girlfriends are invited, but probably not at the same time...

This event will probably be on a Saturday, as finding a weekday where everyone is free will be nearly impossible.

Since some of you may be coming from a far distance, we will offer our guest room for anyone who would rather drive home in the daytime...

This will be a fun, "rain or shine" activity, though I am hoping for the latter! If you are interested, please let me know. I am in the earliest planning stages and I'll get information back to you as the plan develops!

Cheers,

Steve

Sounds like fun but wish it was a bit later in the season. Too much gravel on the road and weather over the Cascades could be tough. Think about coming over to our Corvettes on the HIgh Desert weekend mid July. Check it out at www.highdesertcorvettes.org.

I'll check it out. My get together is an informal meet up. If we get some good weather, come on over!

Newport, Lincoln City, Florence in the spring? What a beautiful drive.

There should be a flock of Mike Furman C7's there from Criswell Chevrolet in Gaithersburg, Maryland. I have seen on his weekly (Sunday) C7 C.F. delivery thread that he has been shipping via Plycar and Courtesy Delivery C7's all over Oregon on a weekly basis.

Wish we could be there, but we are now in Prescott, Arizona. Formerly from Central Oregon and the High Desert Corvettes.

We were long time friends with Ray and Pat Hayden of Hayden Motors/Gold Motors in Newport, Oregon (a long standing G.M. Dealer)

Prescott is beautiful country. I lived in Phoenix for awhile, my son lives in Maricopa, and we've done a lot of motorcycle touring in AZ during fall and spring.

Could be nice, or it could be nice and rainy. Who knows? You should drive on down....

Hi Steve,

Please don't make it during Spring Break. The coast is always a mess then. Besides I'll be in Mexico that week.

Thanks.

Generally speaking, is Spring Break for Oregon schools the week before, or after Easter?

Just curious. I will be riding my motorcycle in Baja from April 1-16 as well...

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks for the info. I'll try to schedule before, as my April is booked up with Mexico and hosting my brother who is coming back to visit from Thailand...

I have a 76 vette project and wondered if you might know anyone who might have some advice on certain things like the common caulk/seal failure/leaks and things. I live in the Yachats/Waldport area and any advice would be surely appreciated. Gordon-Home-541-547-4937, cell 206-849-1552, Thanks much
