I am on my third Arctic White Vette. I purchased my first at 36, second at 48, and my current one at 53.

I have seen Mario Andretti driving his new C7, ZO6 around town and yes it is White. So if you like white consider yourself in good company.

Some think that the adoption of white with Apple products has made white a popular color with cars. Reality is it is the most popular color for a good many years, not a surprise it caught on with sports cars over time. White outsells in almost every segment...of course the problem with white now is it is very common. I have a white SUV and red C7... in 2015 25% of cars sold in NA were white.

I'm 71 and drive a 2014 AW A6 stingray with Red interior, NPP and Chrome wheels. I don't care about people's wheel choices because like ice cream. everyone is entitled to have what taste's for them. It's really what you like and are willing to live with. That's why there's more than just one flavor.

I will go back to white in a few when I order a new Z06. As mentioned, I like the contrast

Torch red 72 in my younger days would not drive red because everybody and his brother in law had one. Always loved it now I don't care how many are red.

Historically, white has not been one of the top sellers for corvettes, other than 1953 when all 300 built were white and 1954, when white was offered along with a relatively small # of red and blue cars.
It's really only with the C7 generation corvette, that white has emerged as the top or 2nd best selling color.

68:
Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic Z06 vert. Sometimes you see a color and it grabs you. No regrets. More favorable comments on this color than any other Corvette I've owned, and I've had many since my first Vette, a Marina Blue '67 vert I bought used in '72.
BTW: I purchased a new silver '74 L-82 at age 26 for all who think silver is for older buyers.

I couldn't read all of the posts but read many of them. I buy white Vettes because I think they look good and they pay homage to the original '53 Corvette. At 23 I bought a black one then at 27 I bought a white one. Moved on to other rides over the years and returned at 49 to a white c7 and now at 51 another white one. This time a z06. I will tell you my white C7's have had more positive responses from people than any car I have ever owned and I have been fortunate enough to have owned a number of awesome "dream cars" over the years.

I'm 69 and have owned four Corvettes and have to say I have never understood the appeal of white on a sports car. I have owned passenger cars and trucks in white and was happy with the decision and thought they looked fine, but still I'm admittedly fascinated with the appeal of plain white on a Corvette.

Corvettes being a Sports Car, I thought it was unusual that the Color White is highly purchased each year.
Most Sport Cars are Red, Black, Yellow, Blue or Silver. White is hardly ever used. Look at Ferrari's, Porsche's, Lamos's, BMW, Aston Martin, etc.
So I think most owners of White Corvettes MUST be over 65 years of age. What do you say - be nice!

I see nothing but white BMWs and Porsches here in California.
Thread is lame. Posting out of boredom and because your post was dumb enough for me to overcome inertia. Congrats!
