Thank you.

Just skip the Z15 package.

Depending on if you have to pay for the stripe on top of the Z15 package, I may do this and just get a white car with black accents like I was planning to in a Z51. Would like to get the quarter vents in black too, but Harlan said he doesn't think that's possible as thats part of the Grand Sport package. I was curious if you could "option out" of that part of the GS in some kind of carbon flash package or something, but he said no. No biggie. I'm sure they are super easy to take out and paint if one would so choose.

The full-length stripe is an added-cost extra that can only be purchased if you get the Heritage package.

And I agree it's interesting that they are making several elements that were previously "contrasty" like the side vents and the hood vent body colored, or keyed to a stripe. I thought most people liked that they stood out, and that very few people chose the body-colored vent option...?

So you know for sure it's an extra cost? It's worded that if you get the Z15 package, there is an optional full length stripe that can be included...but doesn't say if it's included in the $895 cost of the Z15 or not. I was looking at stripes on a Z51, and they want $895 just for stripes

I figured they would charge more for a center stripe on the Z15, just haven't seen it wrote down 100% for sure yet.

I think they are making the center vents the color of the stripe to make the stripe look bigger/longer. I need to figure out how to use some of those tricks on myself.....anyway....

If so, that means to get a car to look like the 96, It's gonna cost $1800 extra on top of the GS package.

I just don't know if thats worth it. I want that 96 looking C7 so damn bad....but considering I'm not in total love with the darker "Admiral" blue, and it might cost 1800 bucks and I'm pushing my budget already......

Might just go white with black accents...but then someone mentioned that white comes with a body color spoiler so FML I can't win

This decision by GM pisses me off so much. Leaving out the contrasting elements with no means to get them in black even as an option. At least throw them in the carbon flash badge package or carbon flash mirror package.

Not the hood vent, atleast with a yellow car, it will come in black/carbon flash. I mean the side and rear upper quarter vent.

EDIT:

Was there even a single non-Heritage GS interior photographed?
If the Heritage package ones come with the little GS badge above the center console near the infotainment, what do the Grand Sports without a Heritage package come with?

Also, is the Collector's edition the only one that has Grand Sport written on the steering wheel?

The designers concept seems to be....if less is more, then more is even more

Maybe it's functional above 120mph or more. Interesting, every Z06 and the few C7 GS's I have seen have that rear spoiler so I am very surprised to hear that it is optional.

Now they're releasing a grand sport which looks to have everything the Z06 gets, but with a naturally aspirated engine (or at least we are guessing).

I'm still excited, but I didn't think Chevy would do something like that.
That's a lot of thinking. As a Z06 owner I don't see it or anything like that.. I bought the Z06 the GS is not on Z06 level.
In fact still heavier than the Z51 with the same engine pushing more weight and air with more rolling resistance. Will be slower than the Z51.
Of course GM wants people to believe otherwise.
Z06 blows this GS away!
Then chalked with frankly less desirable cosmetic's..

LT-1 is lower so doesn't need the cowl to create the required air space.

Yep, confirmed this with Harlan. He pointed me in the direction of a red GS that had the base aero package in the parking lot. You can probably find pics of it on here. Has the poverty splitter, rocker panels/gfx and a spoiler

Here you folks go. This will be the 'base'/Stage 1 package on the GS:

Though I like the Z51 spoiler for being sleeker, I think I can live with this spoiler (without any of the stripes and what not). I'd have hated having the Stage 2 or above spoiler.

Thank you graj6. This is all just the opposite the C6 for me. I had a C6 GS and thought that they looked better than the "base" car which I felt was rather plain. Now I have the base/Z51 and think that it looks better than the C7 GS. It looks like bolted on afterthoughts. It's just my opinion. Everyone has to look at and live with their own car.

Great high res photos. Good to see a cleaner example. Though is that a white center stripe?

Yep, that one has the white center stripe (unfortunately, for me). The less I see of that white stripe, the better the car looks.

For me, stripes look good on AC Cobra's, Dodge Vipers and 69 Z-28's. They don't grab me right on C7's.

Is it me, or does that stock spoiler look cheap! IMO it looks like it's from the JC Whitney catalogue.

I'm actually looking for a way to put a Z06/7 style spoiler on my Z51. I know, not everyone's taste, but to each his own. Curiously the above photo by Hank makes this GS spoiler look like it's simply bolted onto the back of a Z51 spoiler. It also doesn't look too good in that photo. Anyone know where I should be looking to find a Z06/7 spoiler that will actually fit on my Z51? Thanks.
