Probably not going to know that for awhile, at least end of april and probably not a definite price until june/july?
If history repeats itself.
Ummm 2010 to 2013 is 4 Model years for the C6 Grand Sport.
If history repeats itself.

If anything like the C6, I would think starting 8 to 10k over a base one.

Being a z06 owner.. How could you not like what it looks like.. But disappointed that they couldn't at least design a different fender vent.. Would have liked to see a few things different that was specific to gs and not copy all z06.. I've had those speedline wheels on my 427 and a 5g option for the z.. So wouldn't call that even gs specific.

Actuall the first cars with the new paint process are supposed to roll off the line in April 2017....if they stay on schedule of course.

Yeah, I found it strange for them to potentially have some of the 2017 cars painted with the old process and some with the new. I wouldn't be surprised if the new paint shop didn't go online until MY 2018 starts, but I was just posting what that article said.

Well I like it, but I don't plan on selling my current '14, with Z51 and dual mode exhaust, to buy one. But if I was in the market I would buy one.

"In honor of jpee"
It's been delayed to MY2019, it was originally a MY2017! I'm guessing powertrain issues. But I'll bet they launch the Cadillac a year earlier (especially if the Caddy uses the Twin Turbo V8 not the Flat Plane Crank V8 that Zora supposedly will have to "counter" the GT350).
Also C8 keeps getting kicked around it was originally a MY2020, but when the MCE for the C7 was pushed to MY2018 from MY2017 (updated LT1, maybe called LT2) the timing slipped for the C8 one year to MY2021. You NEVER try to never run up tooling for anything that can't be spread out over 3 years.
Zora is "C7 inspired but looks forward to C8" like the XLR was a hybrid of the C5 and C6 chassis. Obviously with a lot of unique parts, but I'm talking design theme. C8 base car is not mid-engine obviously and the Zora will be sold concurrently with the C8. I think GM is making Corvette a sub-brand. So the base model is "Stingray" then you have "Grand Sport" as a level higher, followed by "Z06," and "ZR1" (Zora). Think what FCA did with RAM versus Dodge. The Corvette sub-brand might still have Chevrolet VIN's still though (I think RAM kept Dodge VINs for 1-2 years).
Sergio proved it can be done, and he may be insane but he is a marketing master.

"The Grand Sport Collector Edition features an exclusive Watkins Glen Gray Metallic exterior with Tension Blue hash-mark graphics, satin black full-length stripes, black wheels and a unique Tension Blue full leather and suede-wrapped interior.
The Tension Blue color is a bold, modern take on the hue historically associated with the Grand Sport. Inside, a three-dimensional representation of an original Grand Sport race car is embossed in the headrests and that shape is also used on an instrument panel plaque that carries a unique build sequence number.
The Collector Edition will be offered later in the model year in the U.S. and Europe."
So the Watkins Glen Grey will be an exclusive color to the new Grand Sport Collector Edition and so is the hideous blue interior (it looks like you are sitting in a wetsuit!) Interesting that it carries a unique build sequence number so it is a proper "collector" edition so expect Rick Hendricks to shell out $1M to buy 001.

I don't understand the hate whatsoever. The C6 GS was exactly this; Z06 wide body and no bump in hp, however the sales of the GS speaks volumes about the success and is attributed to keeping the plant up and running do the the noticeable sales drop off the C6.
Now GM is doing the same thing but this time it's better only because the LT4 has been having some...."growing pains," if you will. With active aero wider performance tires, and the already known performance of the Z51, the C7 GS is going to be a great option that I feel will sell plenty.
I suppose the success depends greatly on the price, so I'm hoping it's reasonable.

Their display GS is beautiful. I probably would have gone that way if it was available as I like the z06 looks a lot, but it's certainly not enough to make me trade my Stingray.
I'll be curious to see how they price it, somewhere in the middle right?

After 20 years of ownership, looks like my 67 Mustang GT 390 Fastback will be going on the market to purchase a GS convertible. Can't wait to see the new color choices are going to be. Jet Stream Blue would be absolutely amazing.

Not to mention the Dealer "mark up"...
So insted of a Z51 car now available at a very attractive discount at many dealers, you have a car that starts at 8-10k more msrp, then the dealer not only doesn't discount, but bumps the price. The car looks good, interesting combination of Z51 and Z06, but for me it has to be cost effective. Naturally there are some of you that have to have the "latest and greatest" at any cost...

I like it, but not enough to sell my '14 with Z51. I do like the wide body Vettes though. If I was in the market for a new Vette I would buy one.
