I dunno.. I'm still afraid of the A8. when its my turn, I don't know which way I'm going.. I know I wont be able to handle having my $70K car being in the shop more than I drive it if this A8 mess is still lingering...

So I watched a bunch of the videos from AMP. They are not all Z07 package cars and there is at least one A8. Here is a video of the A8 doing a lap.

I'd love to know the best lap times from Oliver Gavin for both the M7 & A8.

I went on a trip to Pittsburgh this weekend so I wasn't able to watch for new videos!

Let's go for a ride with some GS verts!

Gotta love Autoblogs ending message, "want a car with near-supercar performance that you'll enjoy even as it's challenging you, spend for the Grand Sport with the Z07 package."

I'd be curious to see what all changes show up (beyond the PCV re-route on all 2017 Z51/GS that we have already seen) in the 2017 Z06 given Tadge's statement and all the delays so far.

Jalopnik:

"Right now, Chevrolet has a fairly amazing lineup of cars for people who love driving...it’s the Grand Sport that emerges as the purest sports car in entire family.

If you opt for the Stingray Z51, you’ve made a good choice. It’s a car that manages to straddle the sports car/grand tourer line very well. If you’ve got the cash to spend on a Z06, you’ve also made a strong choice because the most powerful Corvette ever made is parked menacingly in your garage. For those of you that decide on the Grand Sport, what you’ve done is make the right choice.

While the Z51 is more than acceptable out on the race track, it’s nowhere near as wonderful as the Grand Sport or the Z06 because it’s just not as fast or as sharp an instrument.

While the Z06 is still great fun on a track, and a true beast between the stop lights, it’s the Grand Sport that offers what you seek from a dual-natured track and street machine. It’s the best current Corvette in the lineup, hands down."

Gotta love it!

He later clarified to say that it's not the M7 transmission itself that is getting tweaked - it's that GM is adding something to the M7 cars...

Correct! And I'm hopeful that the constraint will be lifted in the next couple of weeks.
