The deep discount Z06's are 2016 models and what you see is what you get, the GS are all 2017's.
A 2017 Z06 MSRP is $14K more than a like optioned GS.
You can get a deep discount on the 2017 GS's if you shop right.
Some prefer NA engines.
A GS has less weight on the nose.

....here's a thought! Buy a 1LZ Z06 at a price close to a 1LT GS, then remove the supercharger, and re-tune it! You get more options with 1LZ than 1LT, and plus all the Ti engine internals of LT4 engine!
Then sell the supercharger for $4K, now you have a NA Z06, better equipped than a GS for less money than a GS! and live happily ever after!

Sure it will. A few high compression internal bits and pieces here and there and a new tune...and you are there.
How do you think people take a NA engine and go turbo or supercharged > use low compression parts is the first smart thing to do. Reverse engineering!
Not to take this thread in a different direction, because I was being funny! But lowering the combustion chamber (different heads, or even a thinner gasket), and high comp Pistons, etc etc can get you there. If you are serious about it, there're some articles to read about it.

The interior is jet black 3LT leather all around with yellow-stitching everywhere and yellow paddles. Will be adding a yellow-and-black leather horn pad / airbag cover to it.
The side skirts (C7Carbon GTX) and the front fender spats (APR) are fully carbon fiber. The front splitter is not, it is the GM OEM 'poverty' Stage 1 splitter wrapped in carbon-fiber-patterned vinyl (VVivid True R, which has a semi-gloss finish).

Interesting with the choice of other than OEM carbon fiber skirts. Was looking as that option vs OEM but would like to see what the $3000 OEM looks like. Added CF skirts, splitter, hood vent to my 2014 and for <$3000 could do the same for the GS.
