Default 2 year anniversary (and only 1 wash the whole time--with pics)

Today is the second anniversary of owning my C7. This is my favorite vette (my 3rd) even with the last being a C6 Z06. I daily drive it and park it in a dangerous garage at work. It still looks new and I still enjoy each day with it. Z51 2LT, z51 with mag suspension and performance exhaust.

Also notable: The car has only been washed once since I got it. I paid an exorbitant price for Opticoat the week after getting the car. Since then, I put it through the touchless automatic car wash about once a month and it comes out 99% clean. The only part that doesn't clean well are the wheels, but luckily they're black! Opticoat is the real deal and I don't regret it in the least. My car exterior is close to maintenance free which is a lot to say from a typical corvette guy.

First moment I saw it at the dealer.

First time home.

From the first photoshoot.

Last week on a water-front drive.

Today, on the 2 year anniversary.

Thanks, everyone. Much appreciated.

Motomanvette, I understand how some people enjoy washing their car but I lack that interest and that time! lol. Enjoy.

So which is, only washed once or washed 24 times (once a month) over the past 2 years?

Congrats on your car's birthday. My 2014 will be 2 years old next Thursday. Wow how the time has flown by! But I do wash & Zaino mine all the time and the nice thing is I've never gone to a car wash and as long as I own it I never will. One thing about a Corvette, they are easy to wash.

lol I suspect you get the picture. Wash with actual solid to solid contact, once. Touchless carwash, <24 times.

The warranty is 5 years for the pro version and 7 years for the Pro Plus. Getting the Pro Plus installed on mine Friday.

1. Opti-Coat Pro Warranty is valid for Five (5) years from the date of application for any vehicle that is Five (5) model years old or newer.

2. Opti-Coat Pro Warranty is valid for Two (2) years from the date of application for any vehicle that is Six (6) model years to Ten (10) model years old.

3. Any vehicle that is older than Ten (10) model years at the time of application cannot be warranted.

I needed to edit my original post as I have read anywhere from 2 years up to 10 depending upon condition and exact product purchased. They do claim that "Opti-Coat has been tested to Australian Standards by the Commonwealth Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation [sic] for chemical and scratch resistance" if that makes you feel better.

2nd anniversary ow C7 ownership for me today 3/8, two days behind the OP. But I could not even guess how many wash jobs I have given my car!

This was me ... 3/8/14, taking delivery and preparing for a joyful 260 mile drive home!
