Didn't ANY instructions come with that mess?

No. It just came with 3 boxes of wires and two modules. So much for plug and play. I did reach out to “technical support “ via phone and they told me to email technical support and they’d email instructions. They did send them but there is no reference to the wireless module or one one the harnesses.

Seems like we both would need help with that set-up. I hope the email gives a wiring diagram.

So I spoke with the guy at Navtool and they don’t provide any install guide for the wireless. When pressed about the lack of plug and play he actually said some people think it will just be plug and play but you still have to have testing tools and wire it in. Well gee why would I think it is plug and play, it’s not like the websitet advertises it as PLUG AND PLAY...OH wait yea, they do.
My options now are take it to a shop and hope someone there can figure it out, pay a 25% restocking fee and send it back, or eBay it.
Man, I wish I would have never gone down the Navtool path. As they say buyer beware. I would never do business with these guys again!
any way, rant over. Off enjoy my Z as it is. I’ll just continue to be careful pulling up to the curbs.

Well that sucks. What I have works. I don't know diddly squat about the wireless hook up.

Quick update. I installed the Navtool 5.0 on my 15 Z51 tonight. I had the Navtool 3.0 before. Here is a quick rundown for now and I will post a more in depth installation post.
1. Suffice It to say you basically have to remove the existing wiring harnesses and run the new ones because they are different and there is one additional harness on the HMI. It still is a pain in the butt but took a lot less time than the first time I did it.
2. The new touch screen interface is awesome and camera selection is much more streamlined than the previous Navtool.
3. CarPlay Works!! You have to run a microphone for Siri and an audio cable (not included) to the aux input for sound, but it works! And it has no side effects like swapping '16 HMI and radio module. Very happy about this.
4. It is very important to use their new online update tool to update and program the device before installing.
I took pictures of the install and I will post more in the next day or so.
Thanks

Sounds like a step up from 3.0 for sure.
Also curious about the #3 microphone and audio cable statement. I alsready have an HDMI cable running to my 3.0

Is carplay something that works with iphones only or does it also work with android phones?

You will need a RCA (left and right) plug to 1/8" stereo cable (6ft) that needs to be run from the navtool unit to the AUX input which is located in the center console....it is next to a USB jack.
I will post lots of pictures of my install once I complete it...

I paid 549.00 for mine...I called them direct and told them I was a Corvette Forum member....I am hoping to sell my Navtool 3.0 for 200.00..so net 349.00 for Carplay and better interface was worth it to me..
