How about astigmatism fix for a damn sneaky cataract in my left eye?

PM the guy in the link I gave you. He might be able to help.

Yes, I had success with the Push2TV unit. It was documented somewhere in the long "Elmer" thread you mentioned. The Push2TV unit connects to Navtool, and then the connection to the Vette display using your Android phone is wireless. I responded to your PM. Norm

Elmer, I was one of the original NavTool followers, who like you went through the growing pains this company had. Now after two years of trouble free operation of this very handy device I want to thank you for all of your installation tips. I could not have done it without your help. Thanks, Norm

Similar stuff will get the job done. I believe iPhone and android can both use the NavTool. I have the iPhone and I give the information for that but in that monster of a thread, I believe a couple of guys talk about the android and what they did with the NavTool.

See post #803 for information.

Wow.... Just finished reading the 41 pages of this! Thanks for your endurance Elmer! Was about to order the NavTool for my 15 M7 Z06 when I decided to check in and see if it actually workedt.

So happy that this has worked out for everyone, order placed!

anybody have an audio lag from the video being displayed through iphone mirroring? I'm connected to the Navtool unit via an apple lightning to HDMI adapter, then HDMI cable to the Navtool unit. The audio is connected to the phone via bluetooth.

Does anybody know if there's an aux input behind the headunit that i can connect direct audio to instead of streaming the audio through bluetooth? Anybody else experience a slight audio lag? What did you do to fix it? Thank you.

Edit: i think i just found a fix. Since the navtool has an RCA left and right output, i wonder if i buy the RCA to 3.5mm audio cable and plug that cable directly into the audio input in the arm rest that's right next to the SD slot (my car is a 2014); if that will fix the audio lag that is happening through bluetooth audio.

Sometimes bluetooth audio streaming (for music) lags in my C7 (before Navtool install). Recommedation is to reboot your phone and cycle the car to mitigate the issue. May not fix but worth a try..

The wife would like a front camera on her '15 C7. Don't really need the phone mirroring stuff. I was just on the NAVtool website and I assume the product I want is the : CHEVROLET CORVETTE 2014-2017 VIDEO INTERFACE with BUILT-IN HD SMARTPHONE MIRRORING via HDMI (even though I don't need all the features)?

I just scanned through this thread and you guys have done an awesome job debugging/testing this thing. The installation tips and tricks are great too!

You are correct. You get it but don't option it or hook it up. Camera will work just fine. I am still trouble free and working like a champ with my install.

So I installed the Navtool today in my 2015 3LT Convertible.

Ordered front camera and HDMI mirroring.

So I get a unit with a wiring harness with L/R audio, left, right, and rear 1 and rear 2......no front camera lead.

Manual says video 2 is front camera and video 1 is rear.

So I try it with video 2 as front camera as I have an OEM rear and in reverse I get black screen and in drive I get my rear camera.

So I try it with front camera in video 1 and I get front camera in reverse and OEM rear camera in drive.

So they didn’t program it correctly!

I have to purchase a mini USB 6 ft cable to reprogram the module.

So I get on their chat line and they say they don’t make mistakes and the order was correct....bullshit.

I hate arrogant techs and this guy was a total A-Hole.....

I don’t know how these people stay in business!

I’ll reprogram it and hope it works correctly.....

Will update after I get the new cable....

Anyone else with similar experience with these jackasses?

There are 5 RCA plugs They are grouped 3 into a black connector and 2 into a black connector. That's how mine came.

The Group of three is labeled thus:

Video input 1 = Front Camera
Video input 2 = Left Side Camera
Video output = Right Side Camera

The Group of two is labeled thus:

Video Input 1 = Audio red
Video Input 2 = Audio black

Also, there is a post or two with a very strong suggestion in this thread that the first thing you do is the update of the software.

Set the software to use the OEM rear camera. Set it for HDMI too.

If you have more issues, let me know.

Mine are labeled totally different Elmer.

I’ll take some photos and post them when I get a chance. I have two labeled rear and none labeled front, although my order included a front camera with my order.

Maybe this will help. I had my NavTool installed by BestBuy. Front view camera function only in my '17 1LT convertible. Cost about $150 and it works great. Did it about a year ago. They had to deal with NavTool customer service, not me.

So I received the mini USB cable today and easily downloaded the latest software update and went into setup and added the front camera with OEM rear. Plugged it back into the car and it works perfectly

So I ordered the Mirascreen 1080P HDMI Bluetooth adaptor from Amazon and will hook it up to the unit this weekend to see if I can get my iPhone to mirror to the screen via Bluetooth
