Default Looking for previous owner ($$ for info Houston Texas) C7 Z51 LT4 Supercharged 2016

Hey Guys,

I picked up a car a couple months back, it was a complete impulse purchase at a dealer... they didnt know really anything at all about the car other than it had a supercharger.

I would really like to find the previous owner of the car, Ill even throw a hundred bucks to anyone who can help me get connected with the previous owner.

The car is a 2016, Silver Z51, has about 20k miles on it... its got an LT4 Supercharger/Intercooler setup, aftermarket cam, MSD wires, full Corsa exhaust from long tubes all the way out. Car VIN info: 1G1YG3D76G5101637

Great looking C7 and supercharged to boot. Best of luck tracking down the previous owner.

If it truly has an LT4, then the motor has been replaced. A Stingray is equipped with a LT1 engine. A supercharged LT1 does not make it an LT4.

I said it has an LT4 blower, here is the pic... I said blower, I didnt say it was an LT4 motor... 1 of the reasons Im looking for the previous owner is to ask questions such as that.

I misread what you posted…I’ve not looked at what supporting mods are needed to make it work. That should be a tire shredder for sure. Rule changes here have killed the ability to do that in this increasingly depressing state. I was going to drop a heartbeat on a C6 GS and then the rules changed and I went C7Z.

Yea I want to find previous owner so I can find out just 'what' was done to the car that I cant tell.... its got a cam of some sort, its got upgrade packs and wires, has the intercooler, obviously some sort of tuning... no idea of boost, injector, pump, tuneup, motor, cam spec or anything like that.... Im having it retuned beginning of November and was hoping to have that info for them without having to actually do exploratory surgery LOL

I also picked up mine as a complete impulse purchase a month ago. If I saw that bad @$$ car, I would have done the same!!! I found my previous owner because he, and the dealer, did not wipe the infotainment. Had his first and last name and wife's first and last name with their phones. found him on LinkedIn, lol

If he did the LT1 to LT4 swap, very interested in information on that too! I have been thinking about doing that.... But wasnt sure if the rearend would handle it or what the weak point would be next...

Could you ask the dealership to reach out to the owner that traded it in? I know they won't give you the previous owners info, but if they reach out to the owner themselves and let them know that you would like to speak to them maybe they could get the previous owner's permission to give you their info.

Congrats btw!

yea, I tried that, they gave me some mumbo jumbo about privacy and the best they would do was give the seller my number and ask him to connect with me... and so far... nada...

Yea I looked at that too thinking similarly... I think the car was mainly just used for Carplay... the interface hadnt been customized at all, not even sound settings. It really didnt appear to be used... still had plastic over the screen portion that I pulled off!

I know you are looking for previous owner but this member did a LT1 to LT4 conversion and documented everything so any general questions that might not be specific to your car he might be able to answer as his thread is pretty robust. See link below:

Its a full Stage 3 Vengeance Performance LT4 Package, Rods, Pistons, Cam, Blower, Z06 fuel injectors/pump, remapped PCM, additional cooling (not sure what he means for sure, said it was something in addition to radiator).

Now to get the tuneup updated

Holy nice! You got a hell of a find!!!!

Lol, left us hanging with that! Additional cooling is the Z06 cooling package. I believe it adds two smaller radiators on the sides.

Once owned a black 2002 C5 manual coupe and went to visit a friend at work. His fellow employee came out to look, excitedly, as he had owned a black 2002 and yup, it turned he was the previous owner, traded it in to the dealer I got it from. He had divorced a year or so before and was forced to sell the car and asked if I would sell the car to him. I charged him what I had paid for it (only owned it for a few months at the time) and he was really stoked. It worked out well for me as I then bought a brand new 2005 C6 (1LT) off the lot (it was this time of year and actually got a DEAL, remember when you get a good deal on leftovers during a time of year where cars actually just sat on lots? Like a distant memory these days)

With those mods it could possibly have come from a club member with the San Jacinto Club or Xcellerate Vettes. But defiantly NOT from the SHCC.
