Default A great touring car

Hi Guys and Gals,

With the road trip season rapidly approaching, I think we all agree that one of the things that makes Corvettes special is their amazing luggage space. As the saying goes, if you can't fit it in a Corvette, you don't really need it! Here is a set of soft luggage that I had made for my coupe. It's been road tested on the Tail of the Dragon and provides more space than my wife and I really need. The car's roof can be removed and stored in the back without interfering with the luggage. There is also space between the luggage and the back of the seats for a lady's purse and other items. I selected the color of the embroidery to match torch red.

Great job. It's all down low so it doesn't affect your visibility out the rear. Nice touch!

Very nice set of luggage. Perfect fit . But if you pack up all those pieces do you get one and your wife get the rest? Mine generally has about 5 times as much stuff as I take on a trip.
Corvette is a great road trip car, with that I agree

Nice! Stood up on edge four would go into the trunk of the convertible, and you could still lower the top. All five would go in if you lowered the divider that keeps the retracted top separate from the storage area but you couldn't lower the top.

Nice job designing the luggage. Looks like lots of storage for longer road trips.

Very nice. Where did you have them made at? Did you design them yourself? Great idea.

Excellent use of space.

Corvette really has it over most of the other exotics in usable cargo capacity.

While I haven't taken mine on a tour yet, the luggage space is what keeps me in Corvette's.
One of the major uses of my C7 Coupe is to go to either mine, or some of my buddy's golf clubs; and being able to fit two people, two sets of clubs, plus two pairs of shoes and two duffle bags with changes of clothes is amazing - something no other two seat sports car allows.

Yes where did you have them made and if you don't mind could you PM the cost. I love the fact that you can have it filled with luggage and still store the roof in the back. I'm heading on a short road trip this upcoming weekend ( Chicago to St. Loius) with my son to his baseball tournament. We Are both so excited about our first road trip together in the new Vette.

Thanks for the complement. Yes, I designed the bags myself. I have designed soft carrying cases for hand held military equipment used by the US Army and the USMC so I am familiar with the process. The bags are made of top of the line components (1,000 Denier CORDURA nylon fabric and YKK metal zippers). They are sized so that they meet IATA airline carry-on requirements and can be secured with a TSA approved lock. I designed them for easy access. The side zips open on one style and a second style opens from the center like a clam shell with the contents secured with netting and easily visible. There is a snap out laundry bag as well. As an exercise, I designed a set for a convertible that allows the folding top to be stowed when the bags are in the trunk well. The nice thing about soft bags is that they take up very little room in a closet when not being used. The bags were made for me by a company here in the USA and are available as a build to order item. The embroidery lettering and color can be specified with colors available to match your corvette. PM me if you would like contact information.
