Living with a C7 as my only car

Most owners do treat their cars as if they are collector items instead of just simple cars. This is why it takes 10+ years to figure out motors fail for certain reasons or issues arise, much like the LS7.
Guys should drive the hell out of these cars, they deserve to be used. GM made these cars extremely practical as daily drivers, they test them in the winter, all over the world...why not do it?
Anyone ever see the C6 at the museum that did that trip around the world?

Anyway, I'm thinking of trying to stuff how many ever tires atleast (if not wheels) I can into a C7 to take them to the tire shop a few miles away and get them mounted. When my car gets delivered it will be right before winter, so I'll need to figure this out by when I need winter tires. So posts like these fitting in tons of luggage are encouraging!
Anyone have pictures of how you got wheels / tires stuffed in to your C7 trunks / seats even?

I took a lot of patience and seat adjustments but my Dad always taught me when there is a will there is a way....and I wanted those darn z51 machined wheels on my car.. :-) all 4 fit in the back. Will look for the pic.
+1 to this. However there are plenty of posts right on this forum that go the exact opposite way deriding those that drive even in rain, let alone snow.

it works alright as a dd for me although I had to call on the Explorer today to drop off my MPSS at the tire shop for a summer tire change over on Monday, I would've had to make multiple trips in the Corvette.

I like driving mine everyday, and i like seeing my miles add up. A daily driven high mileage corvette from single person means that person enjoyed the car in my opinion.

When I was young, I could only afford one vehicle at a time. So, a couple Corvettes, Mach l Mustang, Pontiac Trans Am all were daily drivers in my home state of Michigan. It made for some issues in the winter but I and they made it through. Then I started liking 4X4 trucks and now I can't survive without a truck.

I sold my C7 a little while back on impulse thinking I needed something more practical and got a new Mustang GT. I miss the Vette though and plan on getting back into one in the 17 model year (Z06 or GS depending on what I can afford).
I really miss having a removeable roof living here in Florida for cruising around. The Vette got much better gas mileage, has a huge trunk area, and I've never used the Mustang's back seats anyways.

I believe I would commit suicide,or sell the jalopy and buy another C7.

Wheels placed horizontally outlined in red, the one vertically (on the seat) in green. Also assuming the ones in the hatch closer to the seats are angled slightly up at the seats to make everything fit. Or am I horribly wrong on both counts and the wheel positions?
Do you think I could make the tires (Z51 sizes again) fit without wheels in a similar manner? Or would that be too much to fit?

That's about right. The one in the upper right portion I can't remember which way I put it but think that's right. You can definitely fit tires better than wheels. I probably could have stacked one but didn't want wheels to scratch. Good luck and take your time putting tires in there.
Thank you so much for finding these. Just so I understand kinda where you've put the wheels, is the below assumption correct?

How about a dozen roses,
A dozen eggs, and three dozen live blue crabs?

When you live near the Chesapeake, those crabs aren't going to schlep themselves home all by themselves, now are they?
