Living with a C7 as my only car
Many people have asked me how I live with the C7 as my only car or that it's not practical. 30mpg on the highway and a big boot to fit all the spring gardening, I live with it just fine. Happy Spring everyone!!

My wife and I both drive Vettes. They are our only cars. We have no problems as Vettes being our only cars.

I sold my C7 a little while back on impulse thinking I needed something more practical and got a new Mustang GT. I miss the Vette though and plan on getting back into one in the 17 model year (Z06 or GS depending on what I can afford).
I really miss having a removeable roof living here in Florida for cruising around. The Vette got much better gas mileage, has a huge trunk area, and I've never used the Mustang's back seats anyways.

Many people don't realize how much room there is in a newer Vette. Packed right, they can hold a lot of stuff.

Corvette is actually a very practical car. We have a 2011 BMW convertible, but use the "Vette as our long-distance tour car. Its very comfortable.
However, I'd consider buying a good set of all season performance tires. In Arlington, you can still get 5-6 days of light snow, so you don't want to get struck somewhere.

Yeah, I went from a Mustang to a Vette. Mustang back seat was useless and trunk opening to small. I usually squashed all my gardening when I had that car and 25mpg on a really good day. Loving the Vette life. :-)

All ready done! Put Continental all season tires on last fall for the cold days. Don't really drive in the snow though with all the public transportation.

When I was a young man I too belonged to the "one car" club. I had a 58, 60, 65, 72, 76, 79, and 80. It wasn't until I got married that I actually had two cars at the same time. Oh, and yes, I am still driving Corvettes even though they are no longer my only vehicle.

When I retire to somewhere it doesn't snow 4 months per year, I hope to have a C9 or C10 as my only car.
The C7 is more than practical for a daily driver unless you need to commute in the snow.

Weekend toy for me... I have a truck and a SUV for hauling and general transportation needs.
Edit: I picked up a pizza tonight in my Vette. So yes, I guess that I haul stuff too...

When my youngest was a Cub Scout, we would go camping in my C5. Cooler, tent, sleeping bags, air mattress, dining fly, lantern, two duffles of clothes, food . . . No problem. The other parents thought we were nuts.

Used to use my C4s as my hunting cars: prairie dog shoots, bird hunts.... more than once showed up at deer camp in a C4.
