Guessing undercarriage damage?
Not my car, and not "really" shopping, just looking... but...
I was bored at work, boss and I have some excellent connections with auto body shops to have professional modifications made, repair, race and track ready etc.
I was digging for sh** and giggles through salvage title C7's...
I found this;
Linky:
https://erepairables.com/salvage-car...vette-15784985
what "undercarriage" damage would result off of "near zero" body damage on it to devalue to salvage title? ~25k to buy
I think I see some skuffs to the fiberglass under the driver door hinge behind the wheel well in this image;
Can you "break the frame" dropping it off the curb like a moron?
The floor boards on the C7 Z51 3LT are fiberglass, balsa, or steel?
If they got all smashed maybe I can understand the 20k price drop...
Maybe he ripped the oil pan off and ran it dry til it stopped?
Thoughts?
The damage reported on the salvage site is "Front Left undercarriage" searching the VIN on carfax etc doesn't even list the salvage title on the car....
apparently they want it sold by tomorrow...

The frame is aluminum and the passenger compartment is a plastic tub they attach onto the frame. Front left, I suppose the axle and suspension could be borked. Possibly the frame. I think it probably wouldn't be too difficult to screw that up to be considered totaled. My concern would be that replacing part of the suspension or axle would alter the way it feels driving it. Meh, I'm not into salvage rescues, but if you have access to repairs, could be worth a look. I dunno about by tomorrow though. Lol.
Here's the underside of the c7:
