I've had no issues. It shifts great and I have not noticed any difference when cold. My last car was a GT500 and I installed an MGW shifter but the Stingray shifts so well I decided not to install an after market one.

I'm not saying our manual is bad but

1-2 shifting is not smooth
2nd can pop out if your not careful
7th gear can be hard to find and is really not even needed
Take your car in for the bulletin. A shifter alignment, and removal of a assembly aid that was possibly left in, will make a world of difference. Trust me.

I have had several M6s and they have all been bullet proof. I am not trying to start an M7 vs A8 thread, just curious.
End of this month makes 2 years/12k miles.
No problems or complaints with the M7

zero, the MN7 was a huge improvement over the MN6's in the C5 and C6.

now getting used to the A8, which I have to say I am really enjoying

Default I finally fixed my M7 problem

I bought a 2016 A8 today which fixed my M7 problem, my black wheel brake dust problem and my dry sump problem.
I drove the car in track mode and it does not handle like a Z51 but for the street its close enough.

The shifter I installed is more precise without increasing the shift effort over the stock shifter.

sometimes when at a stop light, when in neutral and the light goes green putting it into first requires jamming it in, second then hard into first gear, but only sometimes, I don't get it.

I have a reoccurring problem with my m7, my right foot often gets stuck to the floor while the car is in second and third gear...
