Has anyone applied this finish or bought an aftermarket wheel with this finish?

I was at a local show over the weekend and I saw a C6Z with OEM wheels that were powder coated "hyper silver" per the owner. (Sorry no pics)

Anyway, the silver looked similar to the painted silver, except that it had more depth and seemed more brilliant. He told me the primary reason he did it was for the added protection against pitting, etc. and since he had his wheels powder coated five years ago and they still look fantastic, I think he made the right choice.

By comparison, I was looking at the silver painted finish C7Z wheels on a show room Corvette and although the paint looked very nice, it didn't seem to pop like the hyper silver powder coat wheels. It's hard to explain as they are both silver color, but the hyper silver had more of a 3D depth to them.

I did a search and came up with a bunch of different pictures, however I'm hoping for some real world experience.
