Tall/Big guy fit video
Hi Everyone,
I promised I would make a video in regards to how I would fit in the C7. Here it is. If you have more questions, please let me know. I was really concerned about fitting in the car so I know how others feel.

on being able to comfortably fit in the car. And great job losing the weight - wish I could do the same.

Thanks....good video. Now all I need is to find a nice person to let me try the fit with the seat limit solenoid disconnected.

LMAO!
The part where your knees are shaking reminded me of when the teacher wouldn't let me go to the bathroom.
Nice Vid. I'm 6'3" 240 and fit nicely in my vert.

I'm 6'4 and all leg and my knees are all over the knee pad. I did the seat sensor disconnect which helped a tiny bit. Shoes can play a big difference for the feel if I wear a slimmer show vs my standard runners.
I'd like to make a new seat back, if I could get it back 2 more inches it would be perfect.

for all those years you couldn't go on certain rides, couldn't buy a toy electric car when you were already too tall at 7 years old and buying adult sizes when a preteen.....way to go sir!

I must have missed the part about how to disconnect the limiter.
How do you do it? I'm 6'3" 235 and fit pretty comfortably but if I can get another inch or so, that would be great.

Fwiw, at Carlisle I was listening to the engineer in charge of the interior I think it was. I heard him talking about the seat and scooting it back. I heard him say as long as you can skip a piece of cardboard or paper behind the seats, you're good.
So I thought-hey I'll ask him about disconnecting the safety mechanism on the seats, and how big of a deal is really. I told him I know he has to maintain the company line of keep your car stock don't disconnect anything, but what he told me was good insight.
He said the seat backs are made of thin magnesium and it can be brittle or whatever. He strongly recommended against disconnecting because the seat backs can crack. He said the seat manufacturer (Leer?) told GM the only way they would honor a warranty on the seats GM wanted is if they installed a limiter like they have. So that's why it's there. He pointed out that I'm a very big dude, and people wanting to disconnect it are bigger guys. He then mentioned that at times you push against the back of the seat, which I know I do a lot for various reasons. Plus G forces pushing you against the back and maybe you'll push back against the seat too. He said again you have to be able to slip a piece of paper/cardboard between the seat and bulkhead to be not at risk of cracking the seat.
I'm just under 6'4" and just under 300 lbs lol....but with adjustment I can comfortably fit in a C7. I actually seem to fit well in comp seats and plan on ordering them, which surprised the engineer a lot. I sat in several and even sat in one car for 10-15 minutes and felt great. I'm tall so my fat stretches out lol
