Seat Belt issue...perhaps?

Seat Belt issue...perhaps?
Three weeks ago I bought a new "lot leftover" Leguna Blue 2015 Z51 and am totally happy with the car. There are a few annoying items below, and I am wondering if anyone else has experienced.
Once in the cockpit (driver side) with the seat belt on, it won't release if I want to lean forward. I've tightened the belt for tension and then try to release by leaning forward, but the belt still will not release when I lean forward. I have to disconnect the seat belt to start the cycle again. With other cars I have owned, I haven't had issues with slowly leaning forward which allows the seat belt to release. A quick jerk, and the belts always lock as designed for crashing, etc.
Also, the seat belt "shoulder strap" continues to slip out of the plastic retainer clip located on the left upper side of the seat (driver's seat). Thus the belt slips back farther making life in the car a little more difficult because you have to reach back much farther to grab the seat belt. Re threading the shoulder portion of the belt has become a regular routine, and I don't think engineers designed the system the way I described.
Thanks in advance.

The clips are really only meant for smaller people. There have been a lot of posts about this. Some guys have used electrical tape to narrow the gap on the holders. I just leave mine out of the clips.

If you are not a child or small in stature, you shouldn't be using the retainer.

...as noted in the owner's manual. If you haven't done so, read through it (you can pull down the online version from the sticky threads at the top of the forum) as there are some good gems hidden throughout.

I just bought an '08 convertible with the same problem. There is no "clip" on the seat that the belt goes through. This dang thing keeps ratcheting me in with every bump until I'm about to strangle! What's the deal?
Any suggestions appreciated.

The tensioner is designed to lock if you give it a quick tug - like when you are racing, you want it tight. So, when you fasten your belt pull it slowly and with your left hand pull out extra shoulder belt and slowly release after latching. It should be loose, and you can lean forward. Just don't pull it quickly.

Thanks Bob. It ain't twisted. I've tried everything. Occasionally it works, but mostly it doesn't
I guess the dealer it is. I'd rather to to jail than to the chevy dealership here... Dag-nab it!

New service rep at the Chevy dealer was a very helpful young man. He said I'm extending the belt to the limit when I first put it on, or if I lean too far forward like to reach the glove box. He suggested a simple seat belt extender, which I promptly ordered.
