Red, white stripes, no hash marks , bright wheels. If I didn't have my 15 base car, I would go GS in a heartbeat.

I will not be trading "up". There is no doubt that the GS is more capable, but, I don't track my car, and all the add on stuff (spats/rear spoiler/etc) don't appeal to me. IMO, they look like what they are....add on pieces of plastic.

Edit: I put the "poverty" splitter on my car for a while, and ended up taking it off for the above reason.

I did not read any of the first 6 pages, but my story is last fall I asked my dealer for intel on the possibility of a C7 GS, he said GM said they were not doing one. So I ordered a Z51. It was built in early Dec and in my possession before Christmas. 3 months later, GM announces the C7 GS. I had to have one, so now I have one on order, an M7 on constraint. This will be my second C7 in less than one year and my 3rd new Vette in less than 4 years. I am a slutt for the widebody.

I put my 2000 C5 up for sale. I am going to Kerbeck tomorrow and ordering my 2017 GS. The C7 GS is what made me pull the trigger. I can't wait!

Waiting for the 2018's and see if anything interesting is announced. Quite happy with my 2015 A8. If the announce a mid-engine, I will likely opt for one of those...otherwise staying "pat".

I was looking at the GS's yesterday as several dealers here in the area received some. I like it. But it would cost to much to trade my 15 in on a 17 at this point...

Going to hang on to the 2015 until they do a body redesign or bump up the power.

Maybe buy a Low Mile used A8 Z next year -- maybe -- I really like my base A8 15. Just put all seasons on it, never track it, just a NICE old man cruiser LOL
Buuuuuuutttttttt a 650hp Z still intrigues me. They are a beautiful mean SOB.

NO, The GS looks over-done with the tape stripes, skirts and spoilers. Think GM attempted to created something with a new badge to maintain sales in the 4th year of the C7.

No. Going to buy a Z06 this late summer or early fall if the manual shifts are available. I'm hooked and addicted to not only Corvettes, but found out I am now hooked on horsepower. So it goes. I will keep the Stingray. I like the A8 as well as manual. This way I will have both.

with the fender and hood strips but fortunately they are options.

Side skirts are functionally necessary because of the Stingray shape. If they were not included would add asap to stop debris hitting the rocker panels. Hope it doesn't have the heavy GM plastic, since with side skirts they are not needed.

The spoiler looks fine IMO, I think the C7 looks unfinished without it but that is my opinion. I have a Z51 and added the side skirts for their functional benefit of stopping debris.

Not interested in the GS although I think they look hot! I'm on cloud nine enjoying my 17' Stingray AW Z51/2LT . In 2 or 3 years down the road, I do plan on upgrading to a ZO6 ; but we'll see, I'm just as happy and content as can be with my new baby!

IMO and FWIW, the silly stripes ruin the otherwise cool exterior.

skirts and spoilers.
These are actually functional and part of what sets it apart from the Stingray.

I could not possibly happier than I am now with my new '16 Z51 3LT A8 coupe that I just bought a month ago. It has everything I'd ever want in a car and it's a vast improvement over my C6 I sold last year.

I'm sure the GS and Z06 are fine cars but I learned a long time ago that there will always be something newer and better than what you may presently have and in order to not go crazy or totally broke, it helps to just be happy with what ya got. That's the lesson I taught my 2 daughters and now that's what they are teaching my 7 grandchildren.

Of course none of this applies to the "all cash" guys who buy cars like the rest of us buy shoes.
