Bought a 2014 NRB coupe
Had its one week anniversary yesterday. Even drove it in the rain. (Didn't melt.)
After coming to the very mature conclusion that I didn't drive my C6 enough to justify spending money on a new C7, I put the cash back in a Internet savings account and contented myself with a car I very much enjoyed. It was a 2009 base coupe, 6 speed, Cyber Gray, black & red interior and chromed ZR1 repro wheels. I figured why did i need to spend all that money on a car that only sits in the garage.
So a week ago Friday, a Porsche friend sends me some pix of a 'gray' C7 in the used car lot of a local P dealer and says I should take a look. Out of curiosity, I go on-line and see it is a Night Race Blue base coupe with Kalahari 3LT interior, black chrome wheels and a stick shift. Also has NPP and dual (clear/solid) tops. And only 2,900 miles on it.
Having nothing to do on Saturday I decided I owed it to myself to at least testdrive a C7. Pretty sure local Chevy dealers don't encourage joyrides in their inventory but I know used car guys want you in the car so I packed up the wife, hopped in the C6 and went to the Porsche dealer.
OMG!! It was a sunny day and NRB glinted in the sun. The Kalahari interior is perfect against the blue. A really classy look. So I let the salesman talk me into a taking a testdrive. Not the greatest streets to unwind the car but it didn't matter. I was so hooked within the first mile.
The C7 is so solid, smooth, comfortable, modern, etc., etc., compared to my beloved C6 that it was a done deal even before I got back to the showroom. It was the last day of his month, he gave me a price and trade in I wanted, I stroked a check and home it came.
The differences in ride, handling, tautness, seats, fit and finish are amazing. It is so different. Still figuring out the 'Infotainment' aspects but I got the phone paired up, the IPod hooked in and the top off, so I am golden.
Rev Match is really cool. Prefer it more on upshifts than down so far. To my surprise, I really like the clear top. When I was looking for a C6, I test drove one car with a clear top but didn't like it. Now, I really appreciate the light inside the car. Love NPP!
My driveway is sloped down sharply and the front air deflector still scraps but not as noisily as the C6. I haven't noticed less buffeting with the top off than the C6 but haven't spent as much time at high speed yet topless.
Definitely going for more drives this summer.
(Sorry about the sideway pics; I don't know how to straighten them.)

I don't think your C7 will sit in the garage, it is just too wonderful to drive!
We have 29,000 wonderful miles on our 2014 and loved them all.
If there was ever a car to "Find New Roads" this is it!
As Dinah used to say, " SEE THE USA IN YOUR CHEVROLET"!

It's a beauty. Congrats, and enjoy.
BTW, like you we had decided to stick with our C6. But, when we took that first test drive in late 2015 it was all over but the buying.

Welcome to the NRB club! I was single handedly trying to keep NRB in production... I Ordered three of them! IMHO the absolute best color on a C7, and they are all great to be honest! Enjoy it
