My Firehouse was somewhere in the middle of McSorleys and Pete's Tavern.
McSorleys became a tourist trap, but I used to go there when I was 16 thru 18. Legal age was 18 at the time.
Pete's is a great place. While you were in NYC you should've checked out the Old Town Bar. It's in the same area.

I'm told I went to MCSorleys but there is no documentation. Good thing I wasn't driving.

Didn't get it on that trip but ended up in NYC again a couple of weeks later and visited. Food was really good, that old dumb waiter still works!

Also hit Rudy's (free hot dogs), Molly's (great fish & chips), Ear Inn (wasn't hungry), Red Lion (good food), McKenna's (fish & chips kind of sucked), Groove, The Perfect Pint, White Horse (financial distric), and a bunch of other places.

NYC is a great place to visit, all in all, spent more than three weeks there this year. Hadn't been since 87 and forgot how much fun it was.

Been to Jean LaFitte's in NO and I have never been more uncomfortable in my life. There is something about that place... No other place has made me ever feel that way.

Very nice bucket list!

If you consider Mexico as part of "America" - then i suggest visiting:
Hussong's Cantina (est 1892) in Ensenada, Baja California.

Baja's Oldest Bar and the Verified Originator of the Margarita. Back in October, 1941 by bartender Don Carlos Orozco. He concocted the perfect mixture of equal parts tequila, Damiana (Controy is used now) and lime, served over ice in a salt-rimmed glass for Margarita Henkel, daughter of the German Ambassador to Mexico. Pretty cool place actually.

you want comfortable and and old you gotta go to Captain Tonys (original Sloppy Joes where Hemingway hung out in Key West)
I think its the oldest continually running bar in the US

Love both those, Capt Tony's and Sloppy Joes.

Another old one in the keys is the No Name Pub, great place and food. Sign claims to be oldest bar but I do not believe it as it was built in 1936.

WTF does this has to do with C7 General Discussions? Couldn't you do this in a Nissan Versa?

Is this Faceplant or CorvetteForum?

We have protons, electrons, neutrons & occasionally MORONS. There's always a few floating around. I liked your thread & it was very cool driving your Vette to all those places from Texas.
