Poll: Do You Think Mid-Engine Zora Is Just a Fantasy?
Now more than ever, the Zora mid-engine Corvette rumors have merit. Or don't they? You be the judge.

I forgot the source, but I heard 150k dollars somewhere, which makes sense as that is no where near a vettes price range.
But manta ray trademark, new multi million dollar "paint booth", old car and driver corvette that looks like a truck spy photos make me wonder
I really hope it's a twin turbo V8 though and not a V6, but I'm not too sure if CAFE requirements will pass with a V8

Certainly anything is possible, but Corvette has a long legacy as a front-engine rear-drive sports car. As it is, it kicks butt on nearly every front/mid/rear engine car.
The sales numbers are astounding compared to any other lux sports car.
Why crowd/confuse the market with a car that might be slightly better in performance which would only eat into current Corvette market share?
A better business plan would be a 4-door Eagle Ray, and a Manta Ray crossover utility.
Call it sacrilege but that course saved Porsche and expanded their market share into areas that no one thought they could.
Think of how many of us had to wait until kids were grown before a Vette made sense.
A Vette sport sedan or crossover would have put me in a Vette years earlier.

I think it's a pipe dream. Maybe at best a concept car. If it is real I think it's a generation away. Corvette is one of GM's golden geese. I don't think they're going to second rate it with a mid engine supercar unless it's in the same $$ venue. Then it will be a Corvette not a copy clone.
Then again I've been wrong before.

Rumors continue to run wide about a mid-engine Corvette. Personally, I doubt we'll see a mid-engine anytime soon (within the next four years).
Here's an article which claims they got confirmation from an "inside" source, again I doubt its true or factorial.
