Who is using PowerStop Z26 brake pads?

Regarding the comment on rotor friendly - can't say at this point at 900 miles on the new factory rotors, however I can say that the braking performance seems to not be any different than the stock OEM pads. I will be watching the rotor wear closely. The biggest advantage is the lack of dust as already discussed. Compared to the OEM Z51 pad, it is amazing.

Has anyone tried these on a '15/'16 Z06 (non-Z07/non-CCB)? If so, how are they doing and where did you order them from? Seem to be having a little trouble finding both front and rear sets at any one particular vendor. Part #'s ??
Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks!

^^^ c7gman, I checked RockAuto's website. I think the Z06 PowerStop Z26 pad P/N is Z26-1405 for the front, and Z26-1718 for the rear.

Hi, Everyone I emailed Power Stop to ask which pad would be best for the ZO6 as far as heat and dust, the Z23 or the Z26. I told him I would only be driving on the street and not track use. I also asked if one pad produced less dust then the other. Here is his response, which looks like the Z26 might be better for the ZO6.
Hello,
If you are looking for a brake pad that can withstand higher heat, than I would go with our z26 brake pads. The Z26 pad has a stainless steel shim that can withstand more heat than the rubberized shim on the Z23 pad. Both pads have great fade resistance and can withstand a lot of heat, the Z26 shim can just withstand a little bit of extra heat. The Z23 pad shim actually absorbs more vibration than the Z26 shim. From a stopping power standpoint, they are pretty much the same. Both have very low dust and GG coefficient code. Let me know if you have any more questions.
Thank you,

To be clear, my car is not tracked. Just spirited street driving and occasional windy road fun. I do understand that high performance brakes for track use can be quite different. Simply - get the correct components for your need. Have fun and Save the Wave!

Jegs seems to be the cheapest place to buy these from if anyone is considering.. Lowest price AND free shipping.

^^^^ I have a set coming tomorrow and will post results once my wheels come back from the powdercoater.
AutoAnything has them for a a few $ more, but if you can get one of their "normal" 20-25% off promo-codes, they would be cheaper. But I did not find one currently active and they did not seem to have the correct part number for the rear set (I believe), so check carefully before ordering from AutoAnything.
Jegs drops ships them direct from the vendor in about a 4 business days.

First of all if you never used them how do you know the power stops are better? Also. carbotech is now using the weights.
Second of all Carbotech is a 100% made in the USA not the cheap china stuff. Carbotech is a small brake pad manufacture that has 12 employees and do there best to provide HIGH QUALITAY BRAKE PADS to the consumer. A lot of people on this forum claim corvette tax that's not it. Its the cost of doing small business in the USA. And than people go and support the Chinese by buying there inferior brakes pads to save a $100 bucks but don't care about there safety to save $100.
There is no such thing as a dustless brake pad... They would not work. Carbotech 1521 is a low dust street pad that provides OE performance with lees dust. I doubt this power stop china stuff could hold a candle to the 1521 and that's my rant.....
Carbotech™ Bobcat 1521™ The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non-corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

It looks like they have them for a 2013 GS. I have no way of knowing if this is right other than their website:

The company is based in Illinois.
They do have a line of rotors that are made in China. That's probably what you're thinking of.

You hit the nail on the head!
I ordered a set of his pads and they were absolute CRAP! Squeeled like a pig at the slaughter...eventually refunded my money, but was still out the labor for the install/remove/reinstall OEM (don't have tools/space to do it myself)....
These Z26 pads sound tempting, but once bitten, twice shy....thinking hard about them tho....

I ordered the Z26's, but if they really are the same pad material I think the Z23's were probably the better choice for less noise and less money. The fact so many have had success with the Z26's is reassuring though, I just want less dust.
