I am so turned off with all the negativity with the A8 with multiple threads and believe me I like to upgrade my Corvette every 2 or 3 years if I can but if this tranny is not properly fixed by GM I will be keeping my 2014 C7 A6 Z51 3LT VERT for a lot longer then I hoped to! I want to like the A8 and would like to own one but you guys who own them keep me from owning one myself.
I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION FOR NOW IF YOUR SHIFT **** LOOKS LIKE PICTURE # 1 STICK WITH IT OR BUY ONE AND IF THE SHIFT **** LOOKS LIKE PICTURE# 2 GOOD LUCK!

Why vent ? There are many A8 owners that have no problems including me. If I read the numbers correctly, more C7's were sold with A8's than M7's. So a small number have problems out of thousands it's no big deal. By the way my car is a 15 built July 18th 2014.

Hey Dave,
It's Dave, and l like you buddy, but I've got to tell you my A8 learned very well from the beginning, other than breaking it in, I've pretty much pounded on it like a cheap shoe, and I've had no issues with it at all.
When it goes into performance shifts, the acceleration is nothing short of insanity.
Don't let the naysayers and the whiners make your fear better technology.
That being said, I'd be willing to bet my A8 will smoke your A6.

If every owner of a problem free A8 (I'm one of them) started a thread about it, there would be pages and pages of them.

If your car is a Z51 A8 as mine is a A6 Z51 you are right you can smoke my A6 in 0-60 because your A8 according to GM does 3.7 from 0-60 and my A6 can only go 3.8 from 0-60. 1/4 mile times from GM is A8 11.9 and A6 is 12.0 seconds so you smoked me! If your A8 is a NON Z51 car I just smoked you because your A8 can only do 4.0 from 0-60 and GM wont even give a 1/4 mile time for the base A8!
