Corporate Fleet vehicle
As I cast about looking for one of a few different C7 or Z configurations, I stumbled across a 2015 Z06/Z07 that caught my eye.
However, the CARFAX report lists it as a "Corporate Fleet" vehicle. Would anyone care to comment, perhaps steer me away, or what have you?
Mileage is just below 4k.
Thanks for any and all comments.

Whoever bought this car titled it to their corporation for a tax write off. If you like the car don't let that stop you from buying it.

Interesting. It certainly could be as ED says. I'm thinking that it could also be a car that was used by a GM corporate employee as a "company car". I have no fact to base this on - it's just a guess.

i was thinking the same thing. the carfax will show what state it was licensed in, so if it's michigan, most likely.

When I was debating between selling/trading my '07 I checked the Carfax out of curiosity. It did NOT have the TWO bodywork incidents that I know it had, but it did say that my 1-owner (me) NCM delivery car had 3 owners, one of which was as a fleet vehicle.
Carfax reports are only as accurate as the info they are given, less any fat-fingers that may add on extra incorrect info.
IMO Carfax is kinda like Bose, marketing department is doing considerably better at selling the product than production department is at developing it

I thank everyone for the replies thus far.
I woke up in the middle of the night last night and remembered a similar thread from a while ago. (yeah, I lead a dull life ) If I recall, that thread partially concluded the fleet vehicle being discussed at that time was, as senah suggested, a GM fleet toy for some employee(s). I think I recall someone remarking that if vehicles like this, and those being discussed then, had fewer than 4k, like the one I found, it's almost definitely a GM car.
I need to see what type of warranty it comes with, not including that offered by the selling dealer.

Yes, senah is probably correct. Years ago, my accountant was in a district or regional office bldg. that had one other tenant: GM. All the cars in the parking lot were GM cars, and they changed quite frequently---no one owned them unless they bought them after they'd had them a few to several months.

If I may take a slight tangent in my own thread...
Does anyone know what type, if any, warranty from GM would come with this type of vehicle?
When I looked further into this vehicle, the dealership took great pains to explain the original manufacturer's warranty, but nothing about what would be available after the sale.

Product evaluation or pre production run. I bought a 2013 4 let coupe a couple years ago. It was s/ n 11. I thought the first 20 were GM cars. One thing that botherd me was it did not come as a certified vehicle because it was still on the MSO. Check the sn.

BTW, I don't blame you for checking of that "Corporate Fleet" thing. I would be wondering also. Good luck.

His "Company" car is the only car he has(other than his 1925 Chevrolet and his 1980 Corvette with just 800 miles on it) so it performs many duties.

GM Employees above a certain level sign up for a program that costs X dollars per month. The program covers car insurance, license, oil and maintenance on the car. They also get the cost of gas while they are driving the car for work. On weekend trips they pay for their own gas.
Typically, they get two cars per year. Was four then dropped to three and is now two. The cars are well taken care of and all maintenance is done when required. No harm in buying one of these cars.

I have a neighbor who is the local Zone rep for GM and he has a company car that gets changed quite often. I remember at one time he was driving a Corvette, but most of the time he drives a Impala.

Did the GM dealer give you a copy of the vehicle information system (VIS)? It would be on the warranty history page. Any GM dealer can print it out if they have the vin.
