Default My new armrest with a twist

Bought a new armrest from Trunk Monkey. The gray on gray was not cutting it. I took a black fabric marker by Sharpie and gave it a little contrast!!

Turned out great!!
Thanks TrunkMonkey

Now to install the Suede Steering wheel.

it is a really neat idea the vendors should make some of these as they would sell well Jeffer2016DSOM

Thanks for the bravery Mike. I have a red cover like that, and was actually wondering the other day how some contrast would look. Looks good, I likey.

Looks great! Took more guts with that marker than I'd have with these shaky hands.

Looks good, took some talent to do.
Isn't there a vendor offering them stitched in? If not there should be.

Guys this is really easy to do.

I bought the embroidered arm rest, but the logo was the same color as the leather. I wanted to give it a two tone look so I used the fabric marker to fill in the embroidery. Just like that one member did with his stitching on his seats/dash. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ever-imho.html

It used to look like this before....Just take the fabric marker and fill in the embroidery. The marker comes right off the leather but sticks to the fabric embroider.

Doing the logo in black makes a big visual difference on that armrest. Well done.

The embroidery looks great. You could even take it to match your exterior paint. that pull it together and set it off as well.

Really nice-the fact that the ink wipes off the leather and sticks to the emboidery almost makes it mistake proof to do.

That's good to know. May have to reconsider trying it. I REALLY like the way it turned out, but feared using a permanent ink marker. My fear was that if I got outside the lines I'd make an irreversible mess of things.

BTW, I have the same interior as yours. Love the light 2 tone configuration.

Thanks... Get the FABRIC marker by sharpie... Do not use the permanent one, that probably would not come off..
. They make special markers just for fabrics
