I think they looks the best, but they are the most expensive and do have some fitment issues. Still, they looks the best once mounted IMHO. I elected to get the painted to color match the body and ghosted. Again, not cheap, but I got them from Oracle themselves and they turned them around in one day and the perfectly color matched unlike other forum vendors.

A lot of forum members rewired the lights so that they come on with ignition.
Flame Red....

I ordered the Torch Red Ghosted version too. Can you send a pic of your car!
Thanks

I'm trying to line up stuff to install the exact way I want soon after car delivery instead of figuring it out then. My markers are from VetteFX (including the 2 extra rear markers for the lower rear valance).

Do the Oracle lights still have Amber an Red reflectors built in? Important for DOT compliance.

Nope

That's the main reason I figured out how to rewire them to stay on when the car is running.

If you'd like to keep the reflectivity (and the stock look in my case), try the ones from VetteFX.

The reflectors are there for when it's not running.

Yes, but I was concerned about a cop noticing my non-reflective reflectors, especially if I happen to get pulled over. With the Oracle's turned on you'll go blind staring at them before you ever notice there isn't a reflective surface.

Ouch!!! I did not know they had to be reflective. I may need to reconsider the totally painted ghosted version. Will look into how to wire so they are on all the time.

Yep. That's the DOT compliance part of any lighting mod. The purpose of the reflectors is for when your car is parked and turned off. That way oncoming lights will pick up the reflectors so that your car is more easily seen.

I doubt anyone would get pulled over just for the side markers, however it may be an add-on ticket if pulled over for anything else.

I ordered the connectors from Mouser and got a bunch of relays. Per your recommendation I would like to rewire them so that when the signals are on, they would flash and other wise if the engine is on, they would stay on. But it is just too hot in the Florida Inferno to do the work required until this winter. I see in the service manual there is access to the turn signals going up to the side view mirrors, but assuming those are buried in the door somewhere they are just to hard to access. There are two connectors of the BCM connector 4 that looks like they have the right and left turn signal leads. I plan on hooking up a relay for each. When the engine ignition is on, each relay would provide power to each side. The turn signal pulse would shut the relay off and so the sides would flash.

At least that is the plan! GM should have wired it up this way!

Easiest way to make the side markers flash with the turn signals would be in the diagram below. Have the +12v that comes on with ignition go through the normally closed contact of the relay, then have the turn signal +12v energize the relay, which would open the contacts and make the side markers flash opposite of the actual signals.

I think you would have to be pulled over by an actual D.O.T. officer having a really bad day to get a ticket for no side reflectors. Usually the first thing I do on any new vehicle, especially Harleys, is pull them off, or black them out.
The Corvette is the first vehicle where I had to do something else because they are lights... So I went with Carbon Flash Oracles.

Papa....I agree. Was looking at new Ferrari California and it has no side markers Period. No reflectors..no lights. It was designed that way.
I guess having the LEDs as bright as they are are a bonus.

Another vote for the VetteFX versions. Stock markers with bulb replaced by LED trip. Sean and his dad put all of mine in as well as the rear reflectors. Very happy with the results.

Might be a dumb question (I don't have my car yet) but the VetteFX ones don't come with the connectors that plug straight into the stock connector.... just some crimping/t-plug connectors or something right?

Also, did you take the entire back off the car to install the rear markers?

No...go to Oracle Lighting you tube installation video.
Very simple....10 min per max

My question is specific to the vettefx ones though, the Oracle also doesn't have rear markers (rear, not rear side).
