Deals on 2016's
I am getting the bug again. What kind of deals are to be had on a base Z06...msrp around 80,000?
What about a base LT1 msrp around $59,000.
The 2017 are rolling of the line soon / now for the GS. Seems like the 2016's should be on clearance soon!

You are in the same boat as me.... I am waiting until the 2017s roll in for a deeper discount on a 2016 1lt base (no z51 for me). Also, hoping for 72 months with 0 percent!

Model Year is "not" the only consideration.

The only problem with waiting until the 2017's come in is the selection of 2016's will be more limited. As long as you are flexible with colors and options you shouldn't have a problem.

Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, Texas has several 2016 ZO6es on-sale. Their basic Stingrays are 10% off List. I don't recall what their ZO6es are discounted. Call 'em Tuesday morning to check stock and pricing.

This is true however, all things being equal I figure about a $7,000 dollar loss for the model year. That is on a car with minimum options.

The depreciation would not be too bad for someone who bought their respective C7 at 10% to 12% off MSRP originally.

On a car with a sticker price of $55,000 that would be a $5,500 to $6,000 discount. I tend to not purchase leftover model year cars. If the customer waited and purchased a 2017 with virtually the same sticker price, a discount of say 7% would be the better deal.

I got 12.3% off my MSRP of $64,050 so if your numbers are correct, after the first year I am doing well. I bought my 2015 new with 5 miles on the odometer.

With there being very few differences between the model years, I'd rather have the extra cash in my pocket and go with the outgoing model year (especially considering I plan to keep this car for a while). I scored one of the last remaining 2015's back in April for just under 27% off MSRP. This was on a loaded 3LT Z51. I think I did pretty darn good.
