C7 A/C not cold enough?
Has anyone noticed that their AC isn't as cold as you'd expect?
I have a 2016 Z51 and I have to turn it down into the 60's for it to feel cold. All my other vehicles are good at about 74. Anyone else notice this?

Feels to me the C7 windshield generates more heat than our previous two C6's and two C5's. All driven in the same AZ sunshine. Not just me. My wife made the same observation.
I kept my C5's and 6's around 72. I have to set the C7 to 68 for the same comfort.
Maybe our imaginations, but just a thought.

Mine has been set to Auto mode and 70 degrees since I bought it two years ago. It's comfy inside whether it's 100 or 20 outside.

Same for me as well. Our Lexus will freeze you to death set at 68 degrees, the Corvette on the lowest setting doesn't get nearly as cold.
I've notice it is even worse when the car has sat outside. Here's a scenario:
It is 100 degrees outside. I leave the house (car parked in the garage) and the AC blows very comfortably until I reach my destination. Let's say I'm driving 10 miles to Best Buy to gawk at the new TVs. After drooling over 80" televisions in 4k HDR for 30 minutes, I return to my car to head home. It is still 100 degrees outside. However, the AC, with the same settings, doesn't get nearly as cold as before. It can take 10+ minutes to get as cold as before, sometimes more if I'm driving slowly in the city with 30 mph speed limits and plenty of stop lights.
Comparatively, the same exact scenario in the Lexus, getting back in the car after leaving Best Buy and the AC will be ice cold in under 2 minutes.

Transparent roof ??
I have the same issue and i think it's the transparent roof, the AC should be programmed that if you have that roof, it should blow harder... then again... so should my wife...oh...never mind!

mine is cold also when I have the fan going, temp on low, A/C off it still blows cold which begs to ask the question is the A/C really off?

Carbon fiber roof. Seems like it is not cold even when I pull straight out of the garage.

Here in Lake Havasu we have had some 120+ days. And the A/C is adequate, just not the best, or as good as my wife's 2015 Lincoln MKZ.
It gets the job done well enough on 68 degrees and moderately high or above fan settings. I almost always use bilevel.
I have one of those suction cup headliner inserts to block the sun with my clear roof, since April when it started hitting 100 degrees.
My early C6 had a common defect of insufficient factory 'freon' charge. And when it was 120 degrees or over it obviously had a problem. I remedied it by adding 1 pfft of whatever they call 'freon' these days, and never bothered with the dealer.
If I ever have a good enough reason to take my new Vette in to the dealer, I would have them check my A/C charge.

Unless the temp is below 34F, IIRC, setting the temp to full low will give you AC.
