Default Anyone have this problem?
I had been noticing black marks on sill plate. It appears it's coming from the weatherstripping on the bottom of the door. Thoughts?

That looks suspiciously like a heel mark. Are you sure its coming from the door weather strip?

Weatherstripping would not cross the sill plate at the angle seen in the large black mark. It would be nearly perpendicular.

My money is on a shoe mark.

You may want to open the door, lay on the ground under it, and look up--Or, use a small mirror

Looks like my wife's heel marks. Installed the clear plastic sill protectors.

Not heel marks as I wear sneakers with white soles. Also, you can see the mark tracks the curve of opening the door. I did wipe the weatherstripping on the bottom of the door but it is still showing up.

I probably need to get the covers.
