Thank you, but I am happy with what I got
I took my car in for servicing yesterday. While there, I wandered around the showroom for a bit until I stopped where they had a new AW Z06 coupe with a red 3LZ interior displayed. The sales manager (a friend of mine) walked up and proceeded to try his best to get me to trade my 2014 AW vert for the Z06 (actually offered me quite a deal).
Now, don't get me wrong. The Z06 was stunning to be sure, and I have the means to buy the car if I really wanted it, but to tell the truth, I just have no desire to part with my Stingray. I think moments like this is when you realize that you have bought the "right" car in the first place.
Works that way with wives too, I think...

I love my stingray, but would instantly erase it's memory for a Z06...
I am a shallow speed junkie haha.

I dread the dealership... There's a red m7 z that I yearn for. Stage 3. Lz3. It's loaded.
I have to remind myself that I wanted a touring car, something relatively cheap to maintain, because I aim to drive the snot out of it. 28 MPG is sweet for trips. The tires are less pricey and last twice as long. And nothing like a NA engine.

I guess I'm just a big ol' car *****. While I don't really need a Z06, it could seduce me quite easily. And, I mean it don't even have to kiss me.

I have a sentimental attachment to my car, it's the first brand new car that I bought and ordered from the factory for that matter but if I could get into a factory ordered Z without too much inconvenience on my bank account I could part ways her.

That's exactly why I try to stay out of dealerships. I'm a sucker for the latest and greatest of anything!
Off topic, I just heard my first GT350 in the wild. I'm still hard! I will be avoiding ALL Ford dealerships in the foreseeable future.

Bravo
It is a good thing to be happy with what you have. My compliments. As for being friends with a car dealer sales manager....I suppose it is theoretically possible.
Just because there is something "better" is no reason not to be happy with what you have!

there's always a step up the ladder at some point. Life's too short to be attached to any one car.
Bought my C6...loved it. Got the C7. Rode with both for a bit. Both awesome in their own right. Sold C6 and grabbed a GT-R. C7 feels gutless in comparison. Circle of life...C7 will be on the block at some point. Still love it for now for it's sports car feel and V8 sound tho.

Cool story bro! I'm at the dealership for service, and going through the exact same thing. Except, the Z06 is black on black. Nope, love it...but I'm gonna stick with what I got. Possibly install an A&A on it this year, and keep it moving. 2014 Z51 M7 and loving it!

I was saved the other day at the dealership because the Z I saw and loved had the A8, wasn't for that I'd have to given some long thought over parting ways with my Stingray.

I'm very happy with my base c7 and it usually seems plenty fast until I ride my KTM Super Duke motorcycle. Then I again lust for the Z06. I can't begin to afford it though.

I would love to get a Z06 to replace my '14 C7.
Problem is, I love my wife more.
Besides, the lawyer would land up with the Z06 as payment for the divorce.

I couldn't help it....ordered a twin to this one!!!!! The "Z's" wide body has been driving me nuts for the last two years....thought the Grand Sport would do it for less money ... but the wheels and side vents just don't do it for me! So I ordered a '17 Z06 just like this one!
