Default Z51 in the Nurburgring

Went to the Nurburgring the other day,
Only prep I did was make sure my oil was topped off haha, but the car ran nice and cool with the oil getting a little hot but it was only by like 5-10 degrees from norm which is not bad. Transmission ran at normal temps too. Oh and I got a one in a lifetime chance to take pics on the track haha, I did get yelled at for the tower picture though haha

I wonder if you can run a rental car at Nurburgring?

As long as it has license plates in the front and back they don't care if it's a rental. But make sure you don't crash because it's really expensive to crash out there

Not trying to come down hard on you, but it's your total disregard for the rules that make it difficult for everyone else.

Stopping on or off the track is strictly forbidden(unless in an emergency) and photo's/videos are forbidden without express approval of cNG.

Yeah I know about stopping on the track and stuff, one of my friends crashed and I was right behind him so I had a recording of the crash that the police wanted to see so I had to stay there. It was the last run of the day and the reason I said I got yelled at was because it was 2 hours after closing time when we left so they where trying to get us out of the track. And yes I asked them earlier if I could take the pictures which they didn't care since no other cars where there lol

Well done. Really love seeing people use this wonderful machine like it's meant to be instead of the usual black or chrome" threads or "I washed my car today" threads.

Sucks for your friend but it sure turned into a great opportunity to get some good pictures at the ring that few people if any are able to get themselves.

Great pics and you're lucky to have had an opportunity to run the car on that track.

Ran this 1970 LT-1 at the ring while in the USAF stationed in Germany in 1970. Hit 130 mph somewhere on the track. Did two laps. Wish I had taken some pictures.

Yeah definitely was a only chance to be able to take the pictures on track because of what happened, but it sure was great! I'm pretty sure I'll be going back soon

Nice pics!

I'm sure you had a great time.

What kind of speeds did you see? Was it safe to go FAST? I've been under the impression that during certain times, the track is open to "sightseers" as well, which unless I'm mistaken, is very dangerous. More so than stopping to take pictures which I'm sure you used good judgement in doing.

The track is always open to sightseers who take pictures all the time, so there goes that rule out the window haha. And I wasn't looking at the speedometer but you can easily get to 150+ there. I did bottom out my car in 2 spots and that's with stock ride height, imagine it if you lower it
And when I took the pictures the track was already closed due to the accident so there where no cars on the track other than the emergency vehicles, the tow trucks and me haha
