Bucket List Dream Come True!
A long time in coming, but our very first NEW Corvette has finally become a reality. On Wednesday, 5/17/17, we took R8C Museum Delivery of this gorgeous Admiral Blue Grand Sport Convertible.
We wanted it to be a good stable mate to our '96 GS convertible so we ordered it with white GS stripe, black wheels, black top, red hashmarks, red 3LT interior with red seat belts, carbon fiber dash, 7-speed manual, etc.
While I think the Stage 2/3 rear spoiler looks killer, particularly on C7 coupes, my wife hates that look. So to keep peace in the family, we went with the base GS aero package for the Stage 1 rear spoiler which I must admit works best (IMHO) on a convertible.
But I also hate the somewhat "cheapo" front splitter and side skirts that come with the base package so next week I'm installing carbon fiber replacements from C7 Carbon for those pieces. That way I'll have best of both worlds.
To protect the paint and wheels the whole car is getting ceramic coated tomorrow by Mobile Empire Detailing in Sanford, Florida. Evolution Ceramic Brake Pads will be installed next week.
To say I am OVER THE MOON about this GS is a gross understatement. Love it!!!

Burning Brakes
It doesn't look like there are many Kalahari interior cars with Admiral Blue? I saw the one car on this thread with that combo and it looks nice, but the pictures weren't close up. Anyone have this combo that wouldn't mind sharing some pictures? Thanks in advance.

I'll take some more shots of my car tomorrow for you - it's a stunning combo

Side Splitters?
Posted before but like this shot the most. I'm done modding the exterior for now, tint, spoiler, side skirts and splitter. Have 500 miles on her now and time to start driving like she's meant to be driven. Transforming the engine compartment now.
I have added a Novi-stretch mask for longer road trips, few coming up in the next couple of months.
