Guys post a picture of your first car owned when you got your license and what year you purchased it or as close as a duplicate as you can find along with your current C7.Here is my first a exact duplicate match and here is my current.
Same exact car and colors as my first purchased in 1981 I was 16 years old a 1972 Ford Gran Torino SUPER SPORT with a 351 V8 Cleveland engine!
My current C7 2014 Z51 3Lt vert!

This was my first new car purchased just after graduating high school. Sold the car but still have the girl! Still waiting on the 2017 Corvette, should be built TPW 7/25/2016 for a August NCM delivery. That s a 1972 Mustang Mach 1 that cost me $86.00 a month for 3 years. I traded a 1967 RS Camaro for it as a down payment. I got 1k in trade and yes I wish I had the Camaro and the Mustang back!

I wish I would have kept my 1st car forever, but I am very pleased with what I own today.
Then... 1956 Chevy BelAir.
Now...2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio Edition, 2015 Corvette C7, 2014 Porsche Cayman 981.
What a difference in style, design, technology and performance.

Thought not a picture of my first car, it is what I had. 1970 Opel GT. Have had 9 Opel GT's and still have one today. My 95 Corvette has the plate Opel GT on it. Gets lots of comments.

Purchased this '41 Ford Opera Coupe in 1958 before I got my drivers license. Ported and relieved the '51 Merc flathead that came with the car. Bought a triple carb manifold with 3 Stromber '97's, cheap from a friend. When I finally got my license found it burned too much oil, left a smoke screen!
A buddy had a '51 Olds engine all in parts; bought it for $15! Had the cylinder bores checked by local machine shop. I recall the machinist statement, "It may be OK!" That is not what I wanted to hear, so had it bored for '55 Olds pistons and bought a 3/4 race cam (as they were called in the day!) Assembled that engine from parts without a service manual using the knowledge learned reading Hot Rod, etc since I was ~12! Recall using pastigauge to check bearing clearances and borrowing a torque wrench to assemble the bottom end and heads. Another friend was going to mechanics school and did a valve job and polished the combustion chambers so you could almost see your reflection! Helped his grade!
Had been working part time in a supermarket after school for several years and put every dime I earned into the car! Ran great and kept me out of trouble!
"Nosed" and "decked" the Ford after having the two piece hood welded by a friend of my dad, since Hot Rod said that was needed before filling the seem. He also welded the exhaust pipe transitions I made from the stock exhaust manifold to dual pipes and straight thru mufflers. Developed the skills to use fiberglass, employed for most of the cosmetic mods. Learned a lot and cars got me interested in engineering.
'41 Ford Opera Coupe w/ 1/8 " bored '51 Olds. Pic from article in High School paper.
2014 C7, Z51 with minor mods similar to every car I have owned since high school: CF Side Skirts, CF Splitter, CF Hood Vent and Real CF Cover for "chrome grill brace."

While not a photo of my actual car, my first car was a 1974 purple gremlin X. It was used as a salesman's car for drug company and had 100K miles on it when I bought it in 1977. After those three years the tops of the front fenders were rusted through and the striped faded. Paid 85.00 for it, the car was 35.00 and the owner wanted 50.00 for a new set of Jensen Coaxial speakers he just installed. It was followed by some way cooler 60-70s musclecars but the Gremlin was the first

Burning Brakes
My first new car was a 1984 Dodge Turbo Colt that my parents bought me when I was in college. It was a 4 speed with two modes -- you could actually change the gear ratios. I loved that car. I remember when the salesman took me for test drive. He did a burnout leaving the dealership. I was sold.

My first car was a non loaded Twilight Blue 1962 3-speed manual Chevy Biscayne (it was similar to the one pictured). My current Corvette is a 2015 Laguna Blue Z51, 3LT, 7M.

My first car was a '54 Chevy 210 2-Post sedan. Paid $100 for it and it had 99,000 miles on it the day (3 April 1963) I brought it home! (This photo is an exact match to the '54 I had)
Currently I own this 2014 3LT Corvette Stingray coupe.
