Mine was only 1800.00 for the painting of the parts. I also had the z06 grill, Plus no hood here also I bought a C.F. aftermarket hood I did all the labor on my car. Worse you know is getting the door panels broken out of the car. Grinding the old stuff out not that bad then glue the new stuff in. Robert

No way I'm taking that big a hit by trading for a GS. Mine is paid for. Anything I do from here is just gravy

My diy labor hours were 50. Includes side skirts, rear spoiler. Switching wiring, emblems, vents. Extra time fighting the fender bolt that I believed couldn’t and shouldn’t have to be removed. Some may say it shouldn’t take that long but it did for me. I made sure I kept track each day I worked on the car . I did all the work myself except help with removing and installing the doors.

Pulling it apart & putting it all back doors & all I would say I had that are more in mine but I didn't keep up with it. I have a 2 diff 2 car garage's at the house did all my work in the lower one wifey never comes down stairs.

Dam price has really went up on these parts. I paid less than that for my full make over less than one year ago. Now 5295.00 for just the rear.

If this is Z06/GS parts, you can't do just the rear, FYI. In order to do Z06 rear quarter panels, you need Z06 aperture panels.

And Stingray front fenders don't work with Z06 aperture panels.

The DIY's saves a a lot in labor cost. Two estimates from dealers for labor and paint were each about $5500 to install and paint customer provided parts. I think all the parts from TrunkMonkey as a kit is around $5000 also.

Right. Can't recall which member showed the coupe fender mocked up next to the Z06/GS aperture. It was pretty bad.

Thanks for that clarification!

I have apparently been misinformed

The kit does include front fenders AS WELL,
at checkout you choose if you want Z06 or GS fenders

as well as if you have chrome or carbon flash rear badge and corvette script emblems.

and lastly let us know if you have a coupe or a convertible.

Now that sounds more like it to me. I don't see anyway the price had gone up that much.

Default Wide Body Option

For budgetary reasons, I am considering this rear kit from ACS. Has a good smooth look now. There's one seam line down near the rockers AND it includes a GM rear bumper cover-so gone is the little taped on panel that looked a little awkward. The brake scoops can have the option of being functional. Not having to remove/replace the aperture panel is a huge savings.

Heh, so much for the "Tried and True" claim on the (now removed) rear-only widebody link.
