Touch-up paint
I have a chip on the rear bumper of my NRB Stingray. I was wondering if Dr. Color Chip is the best touch-up paint to use, or if there is something better on the market?
Thanks

You can try one of the paint pens but I like drcolorchip.

Drcolorchip is nice because it's not just a paint pen, it's got a building chemical in the kit to help fill and color.

I have both the ACDelco bottle with brush & pen, and the Dr. ColorChip kit. If I had to buy just one, it would be the Dr.

Does Dr. Color Chip have a shelf-life (1-year, 2-years, etc.)? Or, is it designed for one-time use and reorder again when you have new chips or road rash to fix?
Thank you Kracka for the link on the Dr. Color Chip product. Checked out the link and the videos and it looks really easy to use. I have a rock chip in the front of my Rally Red '66 that has needed attention for awhile but was afraid to try touch-up paints in case the repair turned out to be more visible than the original chip.

I have and have used both Dr. ColorChip and GM touchup paint. Dr. ColorChip claims the shelf life is a year but I used it on my Machine Silver C6Z over a 5 year period with excellent results. I currently have both for my C7GS.

Fortunately, I haven't needed a touch-up for my C7, however did purchase the Dr Color Chip, as a result of all the praise here, to repair a small chip on my '18 Tacoma and the color match wasn't even close. If fact, the GM blade silver pen I purchased just in case for my C7 was a better match. Go figure. Silvers have so much metallic in them they can be hard to match.

I've found these work well for filling small chips. You can find U-tube videos of them being used.

Takes a little practice to master it, but I get best results with Dr. Colorchip...

Whatever you use be sure to practice on an inconspicuous spot, or another car first.
