I would ask the dealership to confirm with the plant the miles that it had on it when it left the plant. If they confirm, then you'll know that your car was scrutinized heavily as a randomly selected unit (two per day selected) for their Global Customer Audit. This is a four hour process where the car is tested and inspected under heavy scrutiny and anything that is not right is corrected. It's a benefit that I would select if I could and may have saved you some post-delivery frustration. Best wishes! Enjoy your new Grand Sport!

If anything, it's probably a good thing! It likely means the QC was extra intensive so the car should be in better than average delivery condition.

My 2014 Stingray had 24 miles on the odometer (I was there observing the offload) and then noticed a lady named Judy paired her iPhone to the car and left it.
So that confirmed my car was selected for the QA, but 80 miles, that's a bit much.

Warranty starts when you sign the paperwork, date and milage recorded. My C7 had 50 miles on it when I got it.

wow that does sound like a lot of miles for inspection.
See if there are any goodies captured in the PDR by any chance

Use the miles to your advantage. Ask your dealer for a few dollars off purchase price. In any event, those miles will just melt in with your own and in a few weeks/months they will be forgotten.

I laugh a lot at threads like this....
...picked up a new C5 in Dallas for a buddy who lived in San Diego and drove it to him. When he got the car it had 2,300 miles on it. It had 3 when I picked it up. Did he get a new or used car?

You can spend a lot of time trying to find out how it got the 80 miles on it, or you can get behind the wheel and pile up some miles of your own. The 80 miles will soon be forgotten.

Figure it had a few miles on it when new and 150 or so dragstrip passes and you have 80 miles
If the car was new and had all the plastic on the inside and had 80 miles who cares, warranty should start at 80 miles.
