How To Lower Your C7 Driver's Seat! (I'm 6'6")
I'm 6'6" and I definitely did NOT fit safely in my C7 for a long time (my hair touches my transparent roof during normal driving). Now that i'm about 800+hp, I figured it was time to lower myself into a safe position!
Prepare you wallets...
I purchased a Tillet B5 seat. It's about $1600 all in with the "Planted" mounts, slider, and bracketing but HOLY COW is it worth it. The seat weights 9lbs, it's pretty comfortable for a taller/thinner person like myself, and I got the seat upholstered and padded so it's really not all that bad. If you go this route you'll sacrifice some comfortability, and some money, but now my knees are no where near the dash, and I gained about 4-5 inches of head room! I feel SO MUCH safer, and the seat looks BAD@SS!
I'll post some pictures when it gets back from the upholster shop, we changed a few things to make it match my red passenger seat

I kept on opening the trunk with my right knee every time I got in the car. Finally figured out the contortion thing but I have plenty of leg room. Could open the roof I guess....

I'm 6'3" and found the way to adjust the seat so I'm very comfortable. True, the lower dash is closer to the knees than in the C6, but it works for me.

Here it is... I CAN SEE STOPLIGHTS lol! A lot of people were curious about the Tillet seat I'm putting in the C7 **it's not upholstered yet** but it already looks awesome. Gained just under 5 inches of head room. I can now wear a helmet in the car comfortably and its so much safer for my tall *** to be driving. Although it's pretty dang comfortable to sit in as it is, I can't wait to get the padding and upholstery done so it matches the passenger seat!

OP thread dates back to Aug 2016 btw
N/A for me but great post bc it may help a lot of tall guys (for those who see this thread & related ones).
Something you can unbolt and replace later with your stock seat if/when you replace the car. Then install it on your next vette or sell this mod seat later. Should be a good market for the mod seat when the time comes. Post the final product when done and any further details.
Last time OP was on the CF was Sep 2016. That seems to happen often.
Be sure to review the related thread as well.

Feedback for GM
I'm thinking Chev Division should offer a seat like this as an option on the vette to expand their market base.
OP or anyone else that's tall: I would send an Email to GM CEO Mary Barra suggesting this as a Corvette option for all the tall guys. Advise her what you paid. If she agrees on the option idea then GM may just reimburse your for expense thus far. Plant the seed on that with a hint.
Anyone that agrees click Thanks
(not that I need the stat)(just wondering if anyone agrees on "GM option")
