Default NoviStretch question

Guys,
Getting ready to take a long road trip and wondering how the NoviStretch bra does with keeping bugs and gunk out of the radiator? I have the front Xpel'd, so not looking at the Novi for rock protection.

For the grump that asks 'why?', because I want to keep my radiator clean, that's why. (Sorry, but I know at least one person will ask why and tell me I'm dumb etc. This forum is full of gems like that)

It does a great job, you will be pleased with the amount of bugs it keeps off your car

Why? You're dumb.

Just kidding!

If it bothers you, get one and see if you like the results. People swear by them on road trips!

I'm kinda frugal!! I 'just bought' a couple other Vette accessories and I've not been happy w/ the product.. Trying to avoid that (again)

Once you install the included snap on bolts (replace 8 existing bolts), it's REALLY easy to put on / remove. The instructions indicate you need to loosen the bottom outside edges of the air dams to secure the bottom edge of the bra, but I don't do that.

Here's a video by a fellow forum member showing the process.

This is a 21 picture PDF of my install, including after I added a splitter. Still fits fine.

Once installed, easy on easy off.

Nice review. Thinking about a solution for this myself.

Last month I flew to Columbus OH (Mike Conti) from SOCAL To pick up my new vettte. I brought a NoviStretch bra with me. Its a great product. Once you spend 15 minutes swapping out about a dozen screws for with the Novi snap screws it only takes one minute to put the bra on. Fantastic bug catcher while not obstructing any air flow to the motor. When you get home just throw it in your washer. Collected a ton of bugs on the 2500 mile trip home.

I used this product on a trip from Mpls. to the Blach Hills about a month ago. On my return trip, I hit a small bird. At the next gas stop, I checked the bra and the bird was stuck to it!! Glad that bird did not hit the radtiator.

I have one and like it as well. It fits over my Carbon Fiber front Splitter just fine..... I don't have the winglets on the corners of the splitter though.

I also don't find the need to remove the two plastic pieces under the hood. I just tuck the bra around the edge of the brackets there.

I only use it for road trips, and take it off once I'm to my destination.

I have one I use for long trips on my AW'15 Stingray.

I've found the best way to clean it is in the washing machine on gentle cycle and then hang to dry.

I've washed mine about 6 times and still looks like new.

The front of my C7 is also wrapped. I bought one for the same reason. Works great and easy to install. Well worth the money.

I picked up my new 2016 ZO6 in Ohio & drove home to Oklahoma with my new NoviStretch nose cover on. (1032 miles). No bugs on the radiator! Woo Hoo! Works for me!

I think you will find this is an excellent product. Mine goes on for trips between Canada and Phoenix each fall so I will be installing it soon. I tested mine to 170+mph last fall. The bra performed flawlessly. They fit well and stay in place.

I can see how it would do really well for radiator protection but how does it do on protecting the bumper? I am looking to get one if it will protect bumper from bug splatter. Thanks

After a couple months you will get a ton of holes in it.
