Default Wanted to Protect My Center Console. This Is What I Did

On my out going Stingray I had fine scratches in the console paint from keys phones and whatever. I got some carbon fiber look vinyl and cut it to size to protect the pristine paint finish now undetnieth.

Not hard to do just takes patience. It will just peel off with the aid of a hair dryer, similar to expel, It's really only a self sticking decal.

Okay now you are obligated to tell us where you got it, what it cost and provide tips for installing!

You can find it sold in rolls on that major auction site e something I just cut it very carefully by laying down on the console and doing a rough cut around everything. Then you place it in dry and with an exacto you then finesse the pieces to the console. I used a little chrome door edge guard to match the GS badge to trim it off and hide the seam. I laid it down at sort of a curvy angle so it would follow the curves in the console and look more artsy fartsy.

This is what to look for...It comes in different colors gloss/matte too.

It's black some of the sellers call it natural.

You did a very nice job! I can say getting it that neat takes patience and practice. Any chance would you share pictures of what it looks like with the drink holder and cig lighter doors open? I have 8ft. Of this 4d wrap I planed on doing my side skirts in over this winter. The chrom trim bar is a nice touch!

Looks good, my only thought; I would wait till the console got marked/scratched up before covering.

You did this without taking the console out? I want it and I want it now!

Why didn't you wrap the edges?

Vinyl to heavy to wrap and tuck it would have caused diminished gaps and possible rubbing

I didnt want my console paint damaged. same reason people use floor mats.
