The wheel is chrome, so it would be expensive to fix. Buy a new one. As for the tire, probably a bad idea to keep it on a car capable of going more than 150 mph.

Looks like the tire and rim are serviceable rim is repaintable and you will have to live with the chunk of rubber missing from the tire because you cannot remount the tire with the gouge to the inside due to tread design.
Get a good tire shop to look at or district Michelin representative to evaluate for a definitive answer.

As far as the wheel goes, a little sandpaper and touch up paint, or get it professionally fixed not a big deal.
The tire is very thick in that area, but I don't think I'd want to use it as a getaway car until you get it replaced.

Nice chunk out of the tire, I'd keep driving on it though. As for the rim, a black sharpie does wonders. Keep an eye out for a take off rim and replace it next time you put a set of tires on.

Nonsense . . . the wheel damage is purely cosmetic. Google "mobile wheel repair" in your area, and they will come to you and fix it for between $100-150. You will never know the difference.
The tire is more of a question mark. I agree you should consult a tire shop.

Rim is easily repairable. Whether to go that way or not look at the cost and inconvenience against getting a new one. Unless tracking I'd probably drive that tire until it is worn out, especially since these tires don't last long. Just keep an eye on it.

So now we have two morons here...haha. I did the same thing (don't ask) 10 days after purchase and after the finance manager did her best to talk me into tire/wheel insurance. I did replace the tire; however that section of the tire is specifically thick to protect the rim against a curb..ha! My damage was between 3 and 4 o'clock and I have since touched up the little spec you can see. Like others have mentioned, a professional could make that look new again. I wouldn't spend the money on a new wheel myself, unless it's still noticeable after repair. But to each his own.... I gave the finance manager hell for not talking me into wheel insurance...we had a good laugh over that one...

I think there is more than one "moron" on this forum...I just think many of them don't have the courage to post pix of their mistake.
I am a "moron" as well, though I must admit the damage wasn't as bad as yours. No tire damage and a smaller scratch, but to me it looked awful! I sanded it a bit and colored it in with a black magic marker. Like new, LOL.
Your wheel is repairable as many have said. The tire makes me nervous. Ask a tire shop to check it out. Best of luck.
