Default Costco car cover - pics

I knew I'd be needing an indoor car cover come November (Chicago suburb) and I happened to see these car covers that Costco just started carrying. Surprisingly, they have several different sizes. There is a chart on the box that lists many different manufacturers and models of cars and what size is recommended. It listed size M as the one for a Corvette. I wanted a loose fitting one anyway as I want one that goes on and off quickly and easily, so I wasn't interested in one of those expensive made to fit like a glove covers that GM sells or an aftermarket supplier like Covercraft offers. It's only $30 so I figured I'd give a try. Even though it states that it has multi layers, it's not especially thick but it will provide the dust protection I'm looking for. I found the fit to be decent with the exception of the rear end, a lot of excess there. For $30 I can live with it.

I have the same type of cover, or at least from the pics. Not the same brand though. Cost me 45 bucks on amazon.

The problem is you kinda want the cover to be snug because if the cover is loose, and it's windy, the cover moves and since covers will always have dust, can scratch your paint during windy conditions.

But you said you're parking indoors? A cover like that which is meant for outdoor will always create dust. I try to was the cover every month or so and replace the cover every 6 months because i park my car outside and the cover gets beaten on with the sun, the rain, then winter with the snow etc.

Maybe you should just save yourself some agony and not look in the c7 section.

Covers without mirror pockets make them a handful to put on with any kind of breeze.

Maybe it's just me, but if I'm going to have to look at it in my garage on a regular basis, I'd rather spend a few more dollars, and enjoy what I'm looking at.

That's a good point. I've had a nice heavyweight covercraft for an older Camaro but it got real dirty from doing projects in my garage. Maybe I'll get another one and use this one to cover that cover at least when doing messy projects in my garage

Not for a C7, but years ago I got a cover from the same place: Costco. Does a great job in the winter, in the garage. And it prevents some "bumping" from things esp. during winter months as well as dust, leaves, etc. blowing around.

I would use that for an indoor cover..
Not a member of Costco..
How can I get one for the $27.99 they offer?

Not a bad idea. You'd have one for show and one for function.
I don't even have to be doing anything messy and everything gets dusty as heck out in the garage.
Friends come over, wip off that bulky one, and your stylin.

I have one like that in tan. Works great for indoors and it is easy on and off! Much better than the custom fit ones.

FWIW, looks exactly like the indoor covers I bought at Walmart for less than $25.

It looks like it will do the job you want it to accomplish, and the price is cheap.
