What are the GS top rear fender vents for, the lower vents are brake for cooling

Tranny cooling, I think just like the Stingray. Not present on the verts.

In the rear fender there is a tranny cooler on one side and a diff cooler on the other. I think that's the case on all C7's, but the Z06 and GS are supposed to be larger coolers. The air routes in the top and out the rear.

You need the Z51 package to get a functional diff cooler.

More of a cosmetic thing. As previously mentioned the convertible doesn't have the quarter panel vents.

More than cosmetic. They work very well. They couldn't use the same location on the convertibles due to interference from the top mechanism.

They relocated the intakes under the car.

Definitely NOT. On convertibles the air is brought in through intakes that are located on the underside of the car.

As mentioned, one is for the differential cooling (Z51 and Z06), and the other is for transmission cooling.

Actually convertibles have vent in rear wheel well.
