My guess after just buying one replacement tire (at dealer) is around $2k for a set.

C7 Pilot Sports are made in USA. Are the A/S made somewhere else?

Will they be replacement tires or will they be offered as an option for new cars?

My tires have the DOT code starting with 4M which means made in Greenville, SC. The code was changed last year to 14M as NTHSA added a digit to the manufacturer code.

They cost me $1400 for a set of 18/19 runflats for my C6. So the guess of ~$2000 seems to be a close estimate for the 19/20s.

Damn! That is cheaper than the ones I bought for the C6 18/19!

I definitely will be getting those as they should also last longer than the super sport summer tires.

Your Dealer is misinformed!
The Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3+ are not run-flat tires.
They are an upgraded version of the AS 3's.
What is coming out end of October is the rear Z51 size in the AS 3+ tire.

The "ZP" in the product number stands for Zero Pressure,
they are indeed "run flats".

They are runflats. Here are 2 messages I got when I communicated with them.

1st Message:

Hello Elmer,
Regarding your email stating:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have heard rumors of you folks to produce an A/S run flat tire for the Corvette 19/20" tire size for the Corvette. We first heard late 2015, then summer 2016. Are there ANY plans to produce the A/S tire in a Zero pressure option sized P245/35ZR19 and P285/30ZR20 and if yes, when?

Thanks
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
We do have a plan to offer an All Season tire in both of these sizes as well as being a run flat called the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+.
Our projected release dates for both sizes are October of this year (2016). We don't have a specific date it will be released but keep in mind that this date is a projected one. The actual date would be subject to change in either direction.
To see details on this remarkable All Season Run Flat tire click http://www.michelinman.com/US/en/tir...-s-3-plus.html.
We hope that your issue has been resolved or addressed to your satisfaction. If we can assist you further, please respond to this email or call us at 866-866-6605 (toll-free) between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. EST Monday through Friday or between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. EST on Saturday.
We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Michelin.
Sincerely,
Jon

Here is the 2nd response:

2nd:
Hello Elmer,
As stated in the previous email, we do plan to launch the A/S 3+ tire in both of the listed sizes and both in ZP or Run Flat in October 2016. The link was sent as a generic one so you could see details about the tire mentioned because the new ZP sizes will not be listed on the site as available until their release later this year.
In short, we are planning to launch the Pilot A/S 3+ in both 245/35ZR19 ZP and 285/30ZR20 ZP in October 2016.
Sincerely,
Jon

FYI
The zero pressure AS 3+ will only work as run-flat tires on C7's equipped with the rev matching automatic transmissions.

not that it matters to me since I have an A* but why do you say that. When I ordered it on tirerack today they did not ask me if it was a manual or 7spd. If you are going to make a assertion back it up
