Definitely going to try ordering it from Kerbeck or another forum dealer with family discount this time! Thanks dad, for not telling me that my cousin works for GM!

Ordered my 2015 coupe, Z-51, NRB, with MSR, 2LT. (Actually wanted the Brownstone which was only available on a 3LT. Decided to go with the gray in a 2LT due to the extra $).
Subsequently, my dealer was taking forever to get an "allocation," and while reviewing new dealer inventory on CF, I found a dealer offering GM employee pricing for all, and they had a NRB 3LT Brownstone Z51 with MSR in stock.
Their GM employee price equaled the 2LT price...bingo!
Canceled my order and picked it up from dealer stock.
Just crossed 7000 miles this week.

Let's see.....
#1 purchased from dealer inventory
#2 ordered new and waited for it to be built
#3 ordered and waited for it to be built
#4 purchased from dealer inventory (but it was pretty much the way I would have ordered it so I voted that)

Just bought a used 2015 and will pick it up this Saturday in Colorado and will be driving it back to Texas. Searched for months all over the nation for one that had all the colors and options that I was looking for. Laguna Blue, Gray Interior 3LT, Z51, 8 speed Automatic, Magnetic Ride, Carbon Flash Dash, Chrome Wheels, 3M clear front protection, indoor GM Stingray car cover and only 4759 miles on the odometer. Over 20K off the original sticker price.

I bought mine used, no certification. Car had 14 months left on the factory bumper to bumper. I'm thinking about adding an additional warranty but cant decide if its worth it

Ordered a 2LT from the factory, didn't wait for it to get built. I found one just like it but 3LT instead and bought it from the dealer's inventory.

We ALWAYS buy our vetts as gently used garage queens. But. . . the wife has her heart set on ordering C7, museum delivery and buyer's tour to birth it.
We get GM employee discount from her family so it won't be too bad, but still hate to get the drive off the lot depreciation hit on this one. At our age it will be our last one before the kids take the keys away from us, so I guess it will be OK this time

My wife told me to order any corvette that I wanted and go to bowling green ,she said to build your Zo6 motor just do it all. Well I told her thank you but all I want is a torch red coupe automatic. She found one at a dealer about 25 miles from us and I bought it. It had 7 miles on it.

I searched the used market high and low for months waiting to find the exact car I wanted at a good price. I think my persistence paid off. Found a 2015 with all the options I wanted with a little over 2K miles on it for $55. Same exact car I looked at a year earlier would have cost me $78. Don't think you could do much better than that... Although the dealership did get the last laugh. They sold me on TheftPatrol, which in my excitement I neglected to remember that the dang car has OnStar. But oh well, Still a good deal in my opinion.
