Don't know if it's just me but the after shot looks like a toy model. Not a bad thing! Nice transformation.

What was this picture shot on? The shallow depth of field looks really unnatural, and I know you edited it, but if you have a DSLR, you could do the same thing with a low aperture setting and no editing.

Like this for example:

Amazing what one can do on a computer! I shot the image with a Nikon D90 with a 35-200 AF lens.
